For those which are secretive for they could be given a name which doesn't give the project away, however, does allow the players to make their own take and assumptions as to what it might be. A bit like Daley's description in Teamspeak.
That will be easier now that the development team is a lot more organized than it was before. We may look into discussing this in the future.
Fuck me, how bad it your eyesight mate?

For large suggestions, we have to involve the entire admin team, to make sure they approve it.
Chaos and Control took more than six months to do, and that's for a group of fairly simple things to add.
Not only are these things slow to add, but we also have other things that get in the way of development.
A) Clearly this has always been the issue in getting things pushed through. Need to find an alternative to this such as voting in a select panel of two or three developers/admins to fast track decisions. Waiting for inactive admins to post an opinion takes too long and I personally can recall just how chaotic it is when every admin wants to put in their 2 cents on a suggestion and take it on a complete tangent and ultimately leave it being backlogged because it gets too complicated with multiple staff members and their differing opinions
B) Read above. Such a simple addition taking 6 months is a little laughable.
C) The slush fund for development wasn't intended on being used to pay devs to go messing around with code on Beta. It was meant to bring serious money in to incentivize developmentment work on a shorter timeline. Outsource projects to developers outside of this community and then do the necessary work to make it compatable with the GM.
A) This issue is being resolved, through the development and staff teams. I cannot go into more detail, I'm afraid.
B) For C&C, there were more issue than just staff issues to contend with. Considering the number of issues we had throughout the development process, and inefficiencies in the system (many of which I've already brought up), 6 months isn't awful.
C) Development funds are not used for us to "mess around with code on beta." Quite frankly, it's fairly offensive to the entire development team to suggest that's what's happening. Internal Developers are paid on the basis of work completed. External Developers are paid by contract. We don't get paid to "mess around with code."

All we ask as a playerbase then is to be shown, through updates, that you're not messing around with code. You're being paid for Christ sakes, if you're paid, an update such as C&C doesn't take 6 months. Especially with a total of 12 developers..
"Most are inactive or away" - allow me to take you back to the highly mentioned topic of getting rid of inactive staff. Get rid of 'em already. You have no idea how annoying it is for the ACTIVE players to sit down here, hoping and waiting for something or someone to come anytime soon to sort out the wild shitstorm that is here currently.
Oh, also, the bullshit of an excuse "We're working on it", "Give us time" - Budy, we gave you since the day the community opened. Come up with something better.

Personally, I feel we need to stop attacking the Developers. We had an issue in the past with Developers resigning from the Community. They all have projects to work on and Developing new items and new code for the server does take time. The update that was produced is a large-scale update which they could have edited true as they could have split projects up but the way you are describing it is as if you are attacking them and if you attack them they will be less motivated to want to continue at LimeLight and personally especially with
As for the staff, that is another topic which I partly agree with you at times.

Regarding time taken with 12 developers.
All 12 developers do not work on the same project. Some are not specialised in the field while others have their own projects they work on. Now I may agree that 6 months is a while, more Devs does not directly equal less time on every project.

Whilst I accept that things are moving slowly (as I've repeatedly complained about), there is progress. I'll go through your post point by point, and address where I can.

You're being paid for Christ sakes, Only if we're working. if you're paid, an update such as C&C doesn't take 6 months. As I said before, other issues got in the way. Development isn't sitting in a black box doing nothing but code until we have a product. Especially with a total of 12 developers.. We have 10 developers. Of those, only 6 have GLua experience. That being said, piling more developers on a project won't make it go faster.

Read my post. It was directed mainly at the slow development of updates, then updated later in my post by the reason being inactive developers. I know you have done a lot and certainly more than I've seen in the 2 years of this community being open.
However, my point still stands about development being slow.

I thank you for your understanding that 6 months is a long time!
I also understand they are not all specialised in the same area, however, you should use this to your advantage. Not use this as an excuse

It isn't my aim to attack anyone here, but instead get people to actually listen. Nothing is being done by people simply mentioning the topic a few times, and not really saying anything regarding it. I am sorry if it comes across this way.
One thing I have learnt from this community, since it opened, is that the only way to get staff to listen is to actually 'shout at them' rather than have a 'normal chat' with them. That is why I probably come across as aggressive in my post; it's the only way they will actually respond and do something about the issue.
P.S. Sorry for the triple post

We do use these specialisms to our advantage.
However, we're trying to explain why "having 12 developers" isn't always going to make development happen faster.

Have you raised these issues before? I know people don't like to be a part of a community that they feel is standing still. I appreciate that.
That being said, I'm doing what I can, and I know a majority of the development are pulling their weight. It's also hurtful, personally, to be doing as much as I can, and to still be "yelled at" for not doing enough.
We all have our areas of responsibility, we all work on shit. Sometimes development is slow, sometimes it's fast. That's the way it is I'm afraid, and there isn't much we can do about it.
