Following the quoted rule below.

If under gunpoint you ask someone for their real name, do they have to give it to you or can they give you a fake name?

If asked with a knife to their throat where the location of their associates are, do they have to reveal that information?

Quote:
  • You must follow the orders of the person(s) who have you under FearRP.

Except the FearRP rule is probably the most flawed rule in the system.

How so? It usually stops people from running around and not caring about their IC life (such as running point blank at a shooter, ignoring orders, bunny hopping around a taser, etc.

Let's take both of Force's examples.
Example # 1 - If you have all the necessary forged document some thug with a gun isn't going to know  you're lying about your real name and therefore you shouldn't be scared about lying, but FearRP states you MUST do what they, even surrendering your real name.

Example #2 - If you are say a member of a criminal organization with an oath of loyalty, or hell even a trained special forces operative and someone holds a knife to your throat you will not surrender their positions or identities, but on Limelight FearRP compels you to.

Regarding your first example, I had an extremely similar conversation with Bambo about this. I asked him if people can impose FearRP on you to get you to talk or to be silent. He said that if you didn't do as you were told under FearRP, in terms of being silent or being told to lets say, admit to a crime, then they could just deal with you in-character since it was such a minor thing. Plus, how would the aggressive party who are holding you at gunpoint know if you are lying? If you won't be silent, they can tase you or beat you with a baton or whatever. He did say it would be strange if you kept on talking like nothing had happened after you got beat up though.

Lying is a valid response, especially given that in your example situations your responses cannot normally be immediately proven or disproven.

Using on the the above examples, would this be a valid?

Find a member of a rival gang, hold a knife to their throat and ask for the location of their associates, they give me a false answer. After sending someone to that location to establish if they were lying, would it be valid to execute them for lying to me?

Sounds reasonable but it'd make more sense to maybe ask the base location not the associates' location since the associates may be somewhere outside the base without the person's knowledge etc.

Obviously assuming you know for a fact that they are said rival gang member.

There is common sense in these rules. It’s common sense to follow their orders to an extent. They aren’t mind readers who can tell you’re lieing.

Example #2 - If you are say a member of a criminal organization with an oath of loyalty, or hell even a trained special forces operative and someone holds a knife to your throat you will not surrender their positions or identities, but on Limelight FearRP compels you to.

That’s because you are supposed to value life. If we allowed those exceptions, everyone would call themselves Rambo and ignore Fearp.

You are really over complicating this. We tell people to use common sense with these rules and expect such within reason. If you want every situation to be covered, we can always go back to 200+rules.
What do you think of Limelight users that go onto Fearless to troll and give limelight a bad name?

It's shitty, but there's nothing we can really do about it. Same reason FL don't punish players who come on here to break rules.

Add a rule saying do not fuck around on other servers whilst wearing Limelight's tags?

It isn’t on our services. What happens outside off LL is of no concern of the staff team.

But if it ultimately effects LL's image then it should concern then.

Say if you owned a company and one of your employees attacked a rival company, your public image would drop therefore causing you to lose sales.

But we can not interfere outside our services. Staff doesn’t have the jurisdiction over all of Gmod, Steam, other Teamspeaks, etc.
