If we up the weapon damage, then 50% kevlar is kind of useless and no armor is suicidal.

To me though after some thought and talking to people, if we fix medkit spam by fixing the what ive been told now is a bug (Medkits are supposed to stop healing if you take damage, and they currently do not)

The ceramic issue wont be AS MUCH of an issue, though it will still require rebalancing at some point

(Feb 4, 2017, 08:37 PM)Soviethooves Wrote: [ -> ]Why not just remove the item? If we were to try to balance it, it would leave players without kevlar basically a non-existent entity in a firefight as they will be easily killed.

50% Kevlar would be out right useless because weapon damage would be increased to work with Ceramic making Kevlar an actual piece of trash that no one will use.

I don't see a reason to actually have this argument. I've been on both sides of using Ceramic and it just breaks the PvP system. If we need to fix our current kevlar to be stronger, I'm fine with that, but do we really have to keep this one item that was never meant to be in the system in the first place?

So what you're saying is we should remove ceramic because it makes kevlar obsolete?

Should we remove rifles because they make pistols obsolete?

Should we remove all other cars because they make the trabant obsolete?

We should remove ceramic as it makes no kevlar instand death and 50% Kevlar useless (You know, the armor that was meant to be the only armor in the game)

Pistols actually do a fair bit of damage with 50% Kevlar and without. Ceramic, it's like bb's.

I actually think we should remove the trabant and replace it with a better model.

If we balance the weapons again then what you have is people with no armor get rekt and kevlar get rekt as well..
Also way more punshiments should be added for ceramic. Such as reduced speed n that.
If the medkit spam bug was fixed, and ceramic was removed or balanced itself, we woiuldnt need to balance weapons.

They we're already balanced before ceramic was added, its addition created an unbalance, we dont need to rebalance over 20 weapons when we could just balance the ONE unbalanced item, or remove it
I believe when the addition of ceramic plating was added, I think that it wasn't completely teated such as the weapons were when we swapped from MadCow to CW2.

It is currently massively unbalanced as it was planned. Even players who use it know this but just ignore the fact of it being over powered.
Wow. It feels like I've just spent the last hour reading the same comments from the same people over and over here.

I have one major concern, and that is the idea of just increasing the damage to fix everything. Do you turn up the heat to fix a stove fire? No. That does nothing but make the fire even larger. I feel the same is with weapon damage. This whole American is guns thing does not mean everybody strolls down the street in masks and guns. Not even all of the police are armed. It all depends on the region. And honestly, what I see isn't America, this seems more third world to me where drug lords own the town.

Ceramic is too OP at the moment. It seems unrealistic that an AR-15 requires a full magazine to kill a player, 3 mags if he uses medkits as well.

MP5 should be used by a world wide of Armed Respond while it is useless in LL.

But if you have no Kevlar on you are useless just like it should be. 50% isn't useless at all unless you are closed minded about it. 50% is used ALL the time by me and I still do fine in firefights.

Why should we turn our law enforcement into the National Guard just because we don't want to remove one item that was actually not taken into account when Staff balanced weapons with 50% Kevlar?

Not to mention if it were removed, you can use 50% Kevlar which was meant to be a balanced piece of protection. What's wrong with balancing our PvP system again?

RP and PvP don't work together so pick one basically...

Not true back when MKS and Ceramic were not around, back when weapons we're balanced with the items already ingame.

We need to fix the medkit spam bug, (Its supposed to stop healing after your damaged. Example: Your at 40%, you start healing with a medkit, your shot, your heal stops, 10s timer before you can reuse another kit.

Once thats fixed ceramic isnt as much of an issue, though it still needs rebalancing, slower movement etc to account for its extra 20%

(If youve played SWAT 4 you will understand what im getting at, and if you havent, i'll give you one of my copies if you want to try, very fun and  tactical game)

Then you are on the wrong server sadly as Aggressive RP is more than just shooting here.
I have heard good things about it but no, I haven't played it.. Don't trust dodgy torrent links.

Medkit spam is for another suggestion imo the whole pvp system is boring as is fights need to be longer and more intense like what they used to be like. Things are over in like 2 minutes now and its boring AF.

You also need to consider RP here - PVP and RP do NOT work together, EG- Someone typing a /me BAM dead.

People always moan on about making it realistic - You want realism buff the guns to be like guns and not potato shooters. 70% kevlar is strong I agree but all you need to do is change your tactics or loadout and alls good. The Shotgun can still one shot you as can the Scar - 20.
Actually me and PaulB tested that the shotgun does NOT one hit with ceramic to the head a close range.
OK so 2 shots that isn't really hard if you can aim properly

Nope you seem to be wrong because PvP and Aggressive RP are two COMPLETELY different things.
