very funny Internet, but the fact is they ARE balanced however to IMPROVE shooting on LL to actually make SKILL count.
Weapons do require balancing to give players with no kevlar a chance. Not everyone can afford kevlar and still wish to have fun in a firefight.

They are balanced for that more or leaa as yhia was accounted for when we first balanced them.

The ceramic is the prime unbalanced factor as the weaponas were never rebalanced when it was added but really why rebalance them when all we need do is remove ceramic

But if it was a over powered people who was wearing them would win in raids and fights but they don't. I would say personly its fair but it depends on the gun your using.
Exactly, another point hereyou cant increase weapon damage aa then you unbalance everything further. But you can fiz hitboxes and make them more detailed, not 1 hit headshot mind you as thats not fun but most def a hitbox overhaul is needed along with cetamics removal

-support, don't remove it, just find a way to balance it
You cant balance it without making the weapons more lethal by around 30-40% to account for the ceramics boost, its far simplier to just remove it as all weapons are balanced at this very moment to the 50% kevlar reduction, there is literaly no point in rebalancing every weapon in the game to account for one item that has created the unbalance in the first place.

No reason for its removal.
Make the normal kevlar 30% or 40% and make ceramic 50% or 60%

I personally wouldn't mind this.

The fact it isn't at all, go have a look at the shotgun, can one hit 50% kevlar from quite a distance, and 2hit Ceramic.
Retract my statement. That shit is still OP.
Tbh, I think ceramic should be removed from the equation. A 70% decrease in damage intake makes some weapons effectively peashooters. However, I'm pretty sure that idea won't slide with quite a few people, so here's another:

Alternatively, vests should limit their protection to only covering the torso. Realistically, donning a kevlar vest doesn't mean getting shot in the head is okay. It'd also mean like, aiming for vulnerable points and skill would benefit over just flat-out damage. Someone with a Glock who paces their shots and aims for the head would have a better chance than someone just spraying like mad with an AK. Promote skill, while not making Kevlar and Ceramic mundane and useless. Same principle behind protective vests IRL - they protect the biggest part of your body, your torso, from injury.

One thing I'd also like to mention is that melee weaponry should not be protected against by Kevlar - and minimally by ceramic. Kevlar is designed to prevent a high-velocity impact from going all the way through, however a low-velocity impact from something like a knife (in relation to a bullet) would easily split through the vest. This is cause of how Kevlar works - it disperses an impact across a wide area by using several dozen layers of Kevlar weave. A knife stab would slide through these fibers, due to the sharpness of the edge. Something like a baseball bat would also deal damage via blunt force trauma - which is what it'd do even if you were unprotected.

Ceramic would protect partly from sharp weaponry like a knife, but a baseball bat would still deliver that force of impact. Again, these protective vests are designed to protect against bullets - saying it's a 9x19mm round, thats a projectile going at 380m/s. If your melee attacker is say a Major-League baseball player, with a bat, you're looking at about 30-35m/s. The sheer difference in velocity is where the vest would suffer. Plus from a gameplay point of view, it means melee is actually useful aside from just KOing people or executing them. I mean you could also add stab-resistant vests as well, but then you wouldn't be able to wear them as well as Kevlar, etc etc.
