Obviously the community wants change cause no one likes playing on the same map for 3 years.
(We had a 4month break of Rockford fair enough)
We need something fresh and new, or at some point people are gonna get bored and leave it's inevitable.
My biggest concern remains the sheer amount of hiding spots that could be used for contra farming, never to be found. Cops would have an impossible task I feel. Not sure if there is maybe a solution for it that I am not thinking of, but that seems to be the biggest issue I can find, other than the obvious 'people can't build much'.

It's is not necessary that the police have to find everything. They do not find every single bit of contra in real life as well. Especially in a city it should be quite easy to hide stuff.
-Support restricts a lot of classes of roleplay. no outer city for county side roleplays, some clans rely on the outer city parts of maps for roleplay, overall it does not suit the style of roleplay i expect

The
Electrical Usage Map suggestion in Approved would be a nice counter to this.

I agree it's not all about the cops we gotta look at the criminal side of things as well.
It would be cool to have an actual manhunt instead of driving in a circle and finding the criminal.
But I also agree we shouldn't make it too hard for cops.
If we add this map we need ANPR traps, there's too much navigating for our current policing system to find anyone, they're essentially policing like it's the 60s all over again, police brutality includes.

Someone better call mymanalex, it's time for gene hunt to come back
In my opinion, as someone who endorses and promotes PassiveRP, the contra-basing issue could be resolved if the PD adopted a more pro-active approach to dealing with criminals and organized search parties to counter the sewers problem. While I understand that some see this as unnecessary work, I believe that this would add level to Police Roleplay and would further enhance their experience while also adding more place for Detective Roleplays ().
Regarding the lack of hubs that some have pointed out, I believe that there are multiple hubs where people can meet, which is nice if you want to do shady stuff while not being in the spotlight.
The City Hall plaza and the Southside Park on the Eastside
The Suburbia Center on the Northside
Additionally, this map brings back nostalgic memories of playing GTA IV and reminds me of simpler times, when life was easier and when free time was endless. Just thought I'd add that.
Edit: I also realized that finally, we could do proper Hitman roleplay with rooftops and windows you can shoot out from. No more having to hide at the end of the street. Criminal Roleplayers rejoice!

I am no futureteller. I just like change that's all. And like I said, this map is not without its downsides either.
So far, I have gathered all the pros and cons to this map:
PROS- Detailed interiors with many props already there for those who just want a plug-and-play experience
- A detailed, immersive urban enviroment
- Interactive enviroment
- New opportunities for urban roleplay
- No dead-end roads
- Opportunities for more "manhunt" against criminals and less shootouts and dead-ends
CONS- No open spaces to build custom dupes (big issue)
- Too many prebuilt props which takes away options to customize areas to your liking
- A lack of greenery or an outdoors area, basically ending "Green RPs" and clans such as Marsh's United States Forest Service
- A lack of one single main spot to hang out (which even NYC has IRL, such as Broadway, Times Square, Central Park)
- Map could endorse contrabasing if not countered by a new system
This map is great and obviously effort was put into its making. It could be good for our community, however only if we solve the issues mentioned above, as some of them are a big part of the community.
I think our choices at the moment are:
- Map rotation, which might take time from our developers to implement, taking time away from current projects
- Map customizing, which would require someone with know-how and skills for map making and first and foremost, written permission from the map owner (I'd like to point out that Divey from FL has already tried contacting him)
