I don't understand why people are complaining about Police Raiding them. I have never experienced issues with Police Raiding me. I have even offered them a cup of tea. Most people make jack-off bases that make them LOOK like it is as they are protecting something which looks REALLY REALLY Fucking weird. Like I seen a few things like a Metal Container in someones back garden.

If people do actual criminal RP i.e not just shooting police in a house with nothing but fortifications and money printers etc. Then they can be arrested accordingly for their crime. For example, lets say somebody steals cars and takes them to a chop shop. If they get arrested for this they most likely won't receive the 30 minute sentence. I know it's possible as some (Vice)Presidents/Sergeants are keen on giving criminals the max sentence regardless of their crime but that is a different problem which we still experience with our current jail times. If, on the other hand, you sit in a base and just shoot at police with no effort in your roleplay, which is what most people seem to do, then you should expect the 30 minutes. Especially if you don't learn from the current jails. Right now it's evident that people will just shoot at the police or get them under gunpoint because they simply can. No planning goes into most of these things and the reason it happens so often is because there are no real consequences. If you're injured and get revived, you will keep your firearm and get 8 minutes in jail (as most people who do this are donators, I've noticed) Once you're out, there's nothing stopping you from doing it all again. If you do die then you lose your firearm but with the money you've made you can easily afford another. In my opinion, you should lose your firearms regardless of the handcuffing and spend more time in jail, especially if your crime includes mowing down a bunch of Police with your SCAR or whatever

Yeah sure the cops aleary not to op uhh ? they already killd the whole criminal rp in the server..... they can get free weapons they outnumber you always atleast 1:3 and they can combat heal and usually break the rules sure ahaha

I didn't really say anything about cops being op but regarding your "[cops] killed the whole criminal rp" comment, I think you're very wrong. Have you played recently? The Citizen Job has become home to many gangs who take delight in mainly shooting cops or holding them at gunpoint and hostaging them. The cops do get free weapon and that's a Glock 18, if you're lucky enough to be Sarge, it's an MP5 with a 16 round mag. If they would like to improve their arsenal they can do so at one of the lockers, where they have to pay for a Primary, Secondary, a piece of equipment or two and some Kevlar. So in reality, if Cops want to stand any chance against these "criminal rp'ers" then they have to spend some money and choose wisely on what they decide to bring. Mine usually costs about 1.2-1.3k I think. And then each time I die, that's another 1.2-1.3k. Your statement about being outnumbered is purely based on the amount of members partaking in the criminal RP and the number of LEOs online, so it's not a very valid argument. Sometimes they do outnumber you, sometimes criminals outnumber them. About combat healing, I believe Police Officers can heal one another using their First Aid Kits (provided that they decided to BUY one from the Lockers) during raids. There is nothing wrong with that, in fact, it was actually nerfed so it's much slower than before, meaning if Cops do want to heal, they will need to find some decent cover, or fall back temporarily to do so. If you were referring to Paramedics healing during raids, then by all means, report them. Finally, if Cops usually break rules, as you say they do, then feel free to report them. Nobody is stopping you from doing that.

It's all about how you decide to operate, obviously you trying to go toe to toe with a full gov and SWAT when you and your buddy have glocks isn't going to end well for you. I've had many instances where myself and 2 other people with the right gear can stomp a full police force. It's all about how you go about it. Plus most of you guys make giant bases that break the laws the president has set. If you don't have high walls and blocked windows usually the police won't fuck with you unless you give them a reason.

So, Criminals, people who are not funded by the Government, should have a 50/50 chance to beat police? No.
Police are funded by the government. If you think about it, the Police are a gang. They're the biggest of gangs. In real life, criminals don't go around mowing down Police as soon as even walk near them. Sure, it's happened before, but guess what happened? The person who did it got arrested or killed. Criminals in real life try and cover their crimes, because they know they'll get fucked if they fuck with the police.
Example, if you shoot at Police after they pull you over or pull up in your drive way, you are going to get arrested and killed most likely. The police have SWAT, Armored Vehicles, and tactical weapons. It makes ZERO sense to start trying to bait police or making your crimes obvious. Personally, 30 minutes is a bit too much, but if you cover your crimes, and don't be so fucking obvious about them, you'll be fine. It's not DarkRP, the police force is always going to be stronger than the criminals.

Ya'll wyldin. They're not going to just release an exclusive jail timer update, 90% sure it's going to be released in a large update that overhauls government and makes it sensible to increase jail timer to 30 minutes.

Like these suggestions aren't just randomly approved and implemented, the team/devs take a lot of time figuring out how to actually make the suggestion work as opposed to just throwing it onto the server.

As an aggressive RPer myself I often do get into a situation where I'm arrested by cops that do RP corrupt or something similar. I'm easy going so it's okay with me most of the time.

However if that shit gets pulled and I sit for 30 minutes I'm done. I'd rather go back to PubG on the asian servers.

Y'all confusing blatant dumbfuckery for underground/crime RP. If you're known for being a decent person and role-player and your RP clearly backs it up, you're gonna have a positive feedback loop. Good RP > Incentive to reciprocate > Better RP > incentive to reciprocate > etc. Especially with people less experienced, they're instinct is to follow what they see. Defensive behaviour will result in equally neurotic/knee-jerk behaviour that leads to you getting arrested. Conversely, confidence breeds confidence, and throwing in a bunch of '/ Me's and '/ It's will not only make it more Roleplay-y but also give the cop alternatives other than waving their magic stick.

I did a Mafia RP that never once resulted in any arrests - not of me, anyways. UndergroundRP, as the name implies, means being covert, subtle, and not blatantly obvious. Did we have a money-farming operation? Of course. But it wasn't in the big Corleone villa with big ass walls surrounding it and gang members armed with M4s at the windows. Because that's a little bit obvious.
Instead we set up a front (coffeeshop) and had the weed farm in the store-room at the back. Nobody ever suspected it, and the only contact with the government we had was spent schmoozing and throwing them off our scent.

Maybe I'm biased because I'm not as glaring AgroRPer. But even then, it seems a bit of an oxymoron - certainly seeing as most people take 'AggressiveRP' to mean rootin' tootin' shootin' showdown with little RP involved other than a name/job change. In fact, if someone wants to actually define precisely what their take on the term is, feel free to do so; then maybe we can make progress from there.

The only valid point I can see from this post is about genuine mistakes/BS arrests. However, a lag spike (trust ya girl with her 400 ping and 6fps on this one) leading to accidental CDM is usually fixed with an instant LOOC apology - though this too is probably reliant on your reputation as a player.

An asshole cop is a bit harder to sort out, and that's where I can see a whitelist/hour-lock being implemented - or at least making the act of arresting more tedious. We make longer jail times to discourage people from being criminal dumbfucks, but there's nothing stopping government dumbfucks from abusing arrests - in fact it's super easy to abuse it because you wave a magic stick and bam, they're arrested. Making it so they have to actually drive them to the jail or something, or a HUD where you have to fill in an arrest form (nature of crime, name, hell even photographic evidence) rather than just using a command.

Essentially that's what this has come to though. We're talking about a 30 minute exclusion of a player from the overworld area. 

This exclusion means that the player can no longer partake in RP or any other enjoyable activity, plus of course the increased pure hate for the police force or presidency who might not always be acquainted with the city laws or basic practical enforcement knowledge "do/do-not" which you can only gain from experience on the server.

According to the server statistics, we already spend too much time in prison. A lot of player activity is lost already.

And the "don't do the crime then" argument is a terrible viewpoint, because aggroRP plays a big part in CityRP. More than half of the players who do not choose a government worker position, chooses an underground job - and this is without counting the huge amount of "Citizen" positions with job titles such as "Burglar" or "Cartel Member".

We don't want less AggroRP. We want more PassiveRP.

You do not automatically get the latter by eliminating the former, quite the opposite actually.
