It feels weird to say this to someone I have never met or talked to (I think), but this just made my day. Honestly, so happy for you guys and so glad it went so well. On to the recovery!

So this morning he has his eyes open, sad but aware of things. He has asked for water, pizza and to be picked up, all of which we can't do.

His blood pressure has been dropping, so that is being watched closely.

Overall we are still looking good. He is asking for the usual things in the usual way, recognizes us and his mooey... So brain damage, although not yet tested, looks unlikely.

Moving forward!

I just got back home from a long day of college, and the first thing I see on the forums is this. It cheered me up a LOT to see everything is going so extremely well with your son! He recognized you guys and is able to point out a bunch of stuff he wants (get him that pizza when he's all better, haha), so the chance on brain damage has lowered itself a lot. I am very glad for your son, you and your family, man!

I usually find small kids quite annoying, but he's adorable. Looks a little like his father, too.  Tongue

I wish the very best for him and your family, and that he makes a fast and full recovery.

This thread is the saddest one I know but it's also the thread that I get most happiness from. I absolutely love reading about these good news you share with us. We'll all experience the good and tough times together.

Keep posting updates, Wulf!

- Sincerely, the biggest fan of you and your kid.
Sincerely, Enzyme

From my behalf, I wish you, your son and your family a happy recovery, the best of luck and I really hope he gets well soon, as from this I want to say the following: " If anyone fights strongly against an illness as a kid, they will be strong in mind and heart when they grow up" and I hope to either hear more from this or see you in-game soon, good bye

So the past day or so has been a bit and miss.

The positive. His stiches look great, no signs of infection, he is getting his appetite, this morning ate most of his French toast and banana. He's been taken off his morphine.

The negative. He had a rough night, pain. Coughing hurts. And the removal of his cathedor, it hurts to pee.  As such, he's a bit cranky.

But, he's been downgraded to a new room, one parent can sleep there.

All goes well he can actually get up today and get some excercise, and hopefully his chest tubes wI'll be removed tomorrow.  Overall, progress. Rough at times, but progress.

Here's hoping the doctors can find out what the deal is and get to the bottom of it soon Wulf, he's a strong lad for hanging on in there and by the way your describing it, he's managing very well for being in this sort of environment <3
