From what I saw out of these two:
- Change the map from EvoCity to Rockford
- Make the AR-15 an option in the locker (but maybe restrict it under a rank or REP unlock)
- ???
- profit

Rather make squad something regular officers unlock through training, or similar. Make swat something you equip at the locker, allowing to to go on duty/offduty as swat. Rather then fucking about in the nexus lobby.

From what i have seen the police with shotguns can already deal with heavily armed situations without calling SWAT. The SWAT are already practically useless unless there is a mass raid or something so why make them pointless by giving the police AR-15's?
Even if someone does go SWAT after the update they will likely just end using the AWM to make their job worth while which will be strange as usually you don't see entire sniper swat teams.
Police should not be able to deal with heavily armed situations where the suspects have full ceramic plating and scar-h's. The shotgun is good enough. Giving them AR-15's will simply reduce basing even more then it already is due to the fact the police will be unstoppable and make taking them on literal suicide even if you have 3-4 people.
*Criminal tears intensify*
1) Police is not meant to be chewed like cardboard, and most police forces in america issue patrol rifles to LEO's.
2) Shotgun is WAAY better at close range. AR-15's for medium range would just give officers another option.
3) Unstoppable? Rn i can still equip ceramic and spam medkits as a copper and completely substitute a SWAT breacher's job.
4) Underground RP isn't meant to be "Let's mow down the whole police force, payday style" it's meant to be risky, involve stealth and to be afraid of the police force. Criminal RP is declining, and not common. The police has a great amount of tools that they can use, while they should be able to equip more weapons, I do not think more need to be added to the police armory without a proper presidential income and expenditure system, allowing for that.
I honestly believe that Criminal RP is down because they have that mentality that it is okay to take on the entire police force. They should be avoiding the police, not walking into Nexus and kill everyone. The police should have tools that are more advanced then the majority of the criminal element. The police force scrambles to everything since 99% of the time there is no organized dispatch system. Everyone ends up responding since no one is saying not to. The police aren't desperate for action (SWAT are usually). They just want a new tool that will help prevent them getting mowed down by 2 guys.

how about giving cops access to better weapons, but at the same time increasing the costs slightly as $700 for a pistol, shotgun and first aid kit is extremely cheap

It's cheap because it's equipment issued to them that will (hopefully) goto some sort of government budget system if that becomes a thing.

I don't see why everyone thinks police officers by themselves should be able to deal with 1 or multiple armed threats at any range? Thats what the swat should do not the police officers.

Please give cops the option to store their shotgun or AR-15 along side this.

In the real world, American cops at least, are trained to deal with multiple armed suspects at one time. A full SWAT team is not always available.

Not to mention SWAT is used for barricaded suspects, hostage negotiation, EOD, groups of shooters with heavy munitions, etc.
