I still don't understand the whole pistol bit being 21, should be 18 imo. I mean at 18 you are allowed to do anything, I don't see why you have to wait 3 more years to buy a handgun.

I feel drinking Alcohol at 18 is more of a limit on the society of our country instead of anything medically safe or dangerous (Although that is also a reason why it's 18 and not 21). I believe our government believes that at 18, you're kind of "let out of the cage", so they want to give you a few years to get your future together before you starting drinking. Hopefully at a time where you have your life in order after High School.

Back on topic, I don't understand the reason for bringing up Alcohol age limit in the middle of a firearms related situation.
