The fact that some parts are abandoned outside of the city is why I like this map. I feel it is meant to be spread out so that you can hide out from a police chase, live as a lonesome woodsman, or even setup your own abandoned village RP or some shit.

Doesn't sound like CityRP to me though

Nor do the farms, the abandoned houses or the lake on v5p, aye?
Besides, does it matter if it's a city or not, if it is fun?

In that case, we can agree than v4b1 is the way to go.

Are we excluding the shockingly bad optimisation and performance of v4b1 here?
I think thats why V4B1 isnt even in the running

Guess we should take that tag out then. I’d rather do that than choose a map focused on a small city area because of a silly tag.
another reason why i like the map

the mineshafts seem like a good place for a doomfort

I do really like the map and have been supporting it since it was first mentioned. I do still have a few concerns regarding the size and just how different it is from the evocity maps we're all used to (this can be both a good and bad thing though). Performance also seemed worrying during the test. While the map seems to be optimized as well as possible, the map is quite large and loading new areas did cause stutters which many people noticed. This has to really be taken into consideration as it was pretty much the majority of players who suffered pretty bad stutters while driving around the map, it did seem to be better after turning on experimental multicore rendering though. Generally with performance, FPS was drastically better (actually getting 60+ FPS with a high pop :o) but stutters were an issue when moving into new areas of the map.

Yea I agree, that I did feel stutter many times during testing.
For those who are sitting there saying they have like 10x 2080ti's and getting 10fps, Garry's mod is CPU heavy not GPU. Although ofc certain things will effect your GPU but even a gtx 660 would get you enough frames.

gmod_mcore_1 has never effected me in terms of crashing so I would advise you use it if you are tanking in frames. For me, I gain around over 70-110 fps outside of the city and about 30-60 fps inside.

   Gtx 1050ti
  1x8gb RAM
Can we have just rockford so ‍ could use his giant ass forest dupe that everyone loves?
