I've spoke to Enzyme about Bias, I've addressed it to him with evidence and what happens? Hm, nothing. We're discussing it here because we want something done about all the Bias bullshit happening in the community.

You are being biased.
Instead of discussing about what constitutes staff bias, how relations could be improved, what can be done by the rest of the community, you instead started a witch-hunt against BlackDog over something that had already been dealt with. You are systematically omitting information and changing facts to fit your story. You know very well that when you go to HR, stuff will happen, after all your Staff Report got Gungranny demoted. Staff are humans, they are going to make mistakes and they are going to be dealt with. You are a human, if you make a mistake there is a good chance you are going to be warned about a rule break once or twice before getting a punishment.
Do not expect to see a staff member demoted of a single mistake, much like you are not going to get banned over a simple innocent mistake.
There is a big difference between community bias and administrative bias and in my opinion the two should never be compared to eachother.
Everyone is biased, our brain is simply hardwired to be subjective in a lot of social interactions (sorry for the 'Harvard word' here). Therefore players are biased and you can see this on a daily basis. Clans take on people with shitty applications simply because the player is well known or a friend. A player roleplaying as a cop is far more likely to believe the 'i was lagging' story from a friend, and will probably arrest the guy if he dislikes him/her if the lag resulted in death/injury.
Thing is, these are all forms of very minor and small biases, with relatively no harm. Most people arrested by an biased cop will forget about it before they log off and it is never mentioned again. Bias in a staffteam however is far, far more destructive.
Like i said, everyone is biased and so are staffmembers. However a good staffmember is aware of this flaw and acts on it. Since its nigh impossible to not be biased you at least have to be very, very selfaware of this fact and prevent any form of possible bias from yourself. I was quite surprised how some staffmembers in this thread have been threathening to close this discussion or 'ask for more compassion' and to be quite blunt: Grow a pair. You chose to become a staffmember, every second along that ride you could have said "no, this isnt something for me, i rather stay a player', hell, you can even say that right now. You havent said that, and with that you took on some responsibility, and that responsibilty means placing your own standards a lot higher then one of an ordinairy player. Yes, you are going to face a lot of bullshit from players but that doesnt give you a carte blanche to become biased and give your friends more benefits. That would mean you arent any better as your average player and would make you unworthy of a staffposition in my opinion.
Everyone can be friendly, nice, or strict, or read a few rules to uphold. But only good staffmembers can prevent themselves from becoming biased and arent scared to tell their friends 'No'. Dont hide behind the fact that youre being treated like crap, you knew that when you became a staffmember. Youll have to realize that your standards have to be a lot higher of that of a regular player so comparing yourself to one on that level is simply wrong.
Compare yourself to the players that want nothing but the best for this community, compare yourself with the players who treat the others equally and dont become cocky once they get an ounce of power. Compare yourself with the actually good people, not with the rotten apples who live in every single community on the internet.

1. This is about Community Bias. Not Admin Bias. People went off topic and they lost that thread. If people keep talking about Admin Bias and not Community Bias here, the same will happen as no one can seem to control their own arguments.
2. If you contact HR they will make a case if you have valid evidence. If it’s just slmething extremely minor that also seems fishy (For instance player spamming HR BlackDog building a labor camp) then it will most likely just get tossed out. If you make a valid case, they will work with it and contact the staff member. Stuff happens when you report someone, but it isn’t always a demotion. Sometimes it will even be like “This guy is watching you 24/7. Just keep the special admin dupes away for a bit so he’ll stop.”

And do you really think HR is going to give you the logs of their private discussions and interventions with a staff member? It’s like an @ Call. You can send it and it may be dealt with without needing to contact you or make you aware of anything.
