if teachers aren't on the team page, why are contributors when neither were or are part of the staff team?
Contributors do way more work lmao.
I wish I could agree. However, that's not the point of this. Teachers do work, why are they not credited for it? Is it because they don't do enough? If that's the case, why do they always get denied when they try to do more?
I don't suppose you see my issue.
As Soviet (basically) said, the work Teachers do isn't even comparable to the work Contributors do. It's like comparing a tax evader to a soldier.
With all due respect, don't compare teachers to criminals. Teachers and Contributors both help the server, Tax evaders take from the state, whilst soldiers give to it. It's not comparable. it's insulting, and whilst I get that most people hate the teacher team for whatever reason (lack of trust, failed to get in themselves, hate the concept, hate the people in it, hate me, etc etc), it would be nice, polite and all those other words to keep this conversation civil. I'm sure you didn't mean to offend anyone, but for anyone who's a teacher, or was a teacher, the implication is insulting.
I dont know if you knew this yet but the Teacher Team is where all the leaks come out of. IMO some of them can't be trusted

I dont know if you knew this yet but the Teacher Team doesn't know anything confidential or sensitive, pretty much at all.
Are teachers part of the team? Yes they are (even if they don't feel like it sometimes).
You could even add a disclaimer saying (Non staff members) if you really felt it was needed, but it's irrefutable they're part of the team. Same as contributors.

I agree on this, as it is currently ordered based on highest to lowest, I believe that there should be a parting somewhere or a disclaimer centred saying 'These users have no access to administrative privileges' or something similar. That will make it easier on everyone to find out who the teachers are, as it is quite hard to know if a user has been promoted to teacher by a reply saying 'Concluded' /me cough cough **
But in all due seriousness I believe this should happen.
EDIT
----
I understand you can go onto a forum post and view it, but honestly, how many times more do you check the staff team page more then you view the 'Current Teachers' thread. A lot more, to say the least.
Instead of arguing, why don't we actually get some answers.
Why do you want to be on the Team page?
,
It has already been stated serveral times thoughtout the thread however, people seem to rather not understand or don't read the posts that have been made on it.
You want to know why I personally wish to have this? People say we do jackshit which is not true. We do work with players and sure it can be done as anything however we do support many players both on the Help and Support and in-game. The Teachers are a TEAM and you know a tag to actually indicate that we are actually teachers, such as what actually happens in-game. It has been proven many times that people don't know who Teachers are no matter on the forums. We have a tag in-game, why do we not have a tag on the forums which we do work in also.
If you argue that the teachers do minimal compared to other ranks then sure. We do, however recognision of what we actually do would actually be appreciated rather than being insulted serveral times, even once by yourself. Teachers can not be compared to administrators, developers or contributors as each section of the team specializes in something different and it simple can not be compared on the amount of work they do.
Teachers are the guys who can speak to people who require help as it might not be noticed but a lot of players do get rather scared or nervious around staff as they are able to be punished from them (even if they are not). It is simply a common thing and with how the actual hierarchy works in the TEAMs there will always be someone players can easily talk to without sweating about it.
All I personaly want for this is simply recognition on that actual work we do provide to Limelight whether you think it is a lot, minimal or none at all. Your opinion is your own.
I fail to see how putting Teachers on the Team page would give them any recognition, surely giving you a Teache tag on the forums would give you more recognition, no?
It would as there would be an actual official place where all the teams of LimeLight would be instead of diving into sub-forums into sub-forums to find the list of the team. Why should a member or staff member crawl though threads to find the Teacher Team when they could simply just click the Team Tab at the top and look for Teachers and sorted.
Edit (Extra):
Also, there was a discussion to even include the Teacher Tags back into the community hoewver that was closed when the discussion was moved here by George.
I'd just like to say, and I worked our arses off for at least 3+ days in our spare time to try and make a Christmas surprise for everyone, now it didn't really go to plan but admins did not help even after Us asking and asking until last second thanks to for listening to us and stepping in. the event couldn't go ahead anyway due to complaints of lag but still we created an entire village for people to enjoy and get festive. So to those who think teachers do not work hard you are wrong.
I personally don't give a crap if i have a tag, it's worthless what's important is the role we do, people look up to us so we just need to carry on doing what we do, this is a community, a community more like a family.
Just sayin' uno. And I'd do it again.
The votes are very clear , community wants teachers in team page
Zzzzzzzzzzz
Getting nowhere tbh
I want the Teachers on the team page!

This is not true, there is no
clear vote. A clear vote is defined as a two thirds majority (2/3) and the poll on the thread is just short of this, as it would need to be 66.8% against 33.2%
MINIMUM however as can be seen by the image below this is not the case.

Personally I don't give a damn if we get the spot and tags or not. It's more the matter of trust between us and the Administration. Right now, seems like we're the bogeymen, at least according to the community and some in the staff team. We just want to point out that isn't true.
However, the Teacher Program, in its entirety, is pointless. It really is, from a management perspective. But I feel that, while we're here, might as well take advantage of the talented team of people you have sitting around, with their thumbs up their asses. Not trusting us ain't the way to get shit done.
Nobody here is arguing about tags and fuckin page spots. They're arguing about trust. In the team, in the teacher program, in us ourselves. Everything else, comes with that trust.
Teachers have been lacking when it comes to encouraging roleplay. Teachers cannot do anything that a regular player cannot do, they are only provided with certain tools that allows them to do it better.
