@Doctor Internet does provide excellent points towards the subject (Above). As much as I could see corruption to a certain extent towards the teacher team doing this however LimeLight's Staff Team has specifically chosen players who would do an excellent job towards the community in supporting players. With this, Doctor Internet has also provided pretty great advice and records towards the points that players have made saying they would be "less valuable" or "asslicked" however I'd say the same to be honest. If someone is ass-licking me, that's their choice, but it wouldn't make me give them a REP. From personal preference, I have roleplayed on many serious RP servers and roleplayed different styles.

I believe it would be great for this to actually be around, even for a test trial for a few weeks to see how the process does go. Enzyme has stated in the past about this topic that they had tested this and it didn't work out however, I personally believe we have a quite different Teacher/Assistant team than what LimeLight had 9-12 months ago and another test or trial to see how it is used would be a valuable way of testing the teacher team to see if they have the capabilities to keep the power the staff team has trusted them with.

Reading upon the previous selection of comments that has been brought up by @Toxic when someone else thought this should be implemented, there was a massive range of people actually +supporting or -supporting however to be somewhat on an even level. The suggestion and this was simply only 9 months ago when the reasoning as removed. I believe we should looking into both threads slightly and read upon what people have wrote. In the spoiler below, I have selected some unique points that players and staff have wrote in the link given by Toxic. (https://limelightgaming.net/forums/threa...age-1.html)

Restrictions on how it would be done and run could be chosen by @Nacreas and @Safira with the rest of the staff team if they'd like to place their input in how the teacher team should reward REPs if this process is added. Reading Doctor Internet's post and spending quite the amount of time in the Shower and traveling to college, as given me a lot o time to think over this and has actually changed my opinion.

I am actually going to +Support this suggestion, with restrictions, limitations and a discussion between The Teachers, Teacher Staff Officers and any other staff that have added input into how the teacher team would give REPs out.

I can see the reason why players would want this to be implemented, Reps are not always given when they probably should be. Although a clear set of rules for teachers would need to be given so that this would not become out of control. I recommend a trial period before anything becomes permanent.

I think there could be some advantage to this.

Obviously as Sours rightly pointed out, this would need to be guided by Nacreas and Safira as they're the current teacher liaison officers. I see why there's a massive lack of support here, not limited to excess in REP points being handed out, REP's losing their purpose, asslicking and biassedness.

I'm sure it's been mentioned more than once here saying that teachers are just here to help, but at the same time, we're also here to help guide and influence roleplays. As it stands, if we feel a roleplay is worthy of a REP, then we'd need to coordinate with staff, have them take a look, make their own decision on the roleplay and then issue the REP if they feel it's appropriate to do so. If we were to be given access, I would suggest capping the amount we can hand out, and for every REP we do hand out, it needs to be documented by a form or similar, detailing what the RP was, who the players involved were, time, date etc and if this isn't filled out, then the REP could be revoked.

This is a more than fair suggestion, however I agree that it does need to be limited.

Changing from - support to + support , Reps needed to be handle more , i now agree teachers should be able to reward server and help players getting reps by helping them on their roleplays

Our main responsibilities are to:
Help players.
Promote good RP.

I'd say that this falls under the second responsibility.

I nearly -Supported because of my experience and insight on the topic as staff on FL.
I realised I shouldn't let my experience there define a whole different set of people here.

If properly managed as well as it is explained by both Doctor Internet & Sours, I'd say this should work out just fine.
If any Teachers are seen having a clear bias towards certain members of the community and/or hand out far too many REP's resulting in them no longer being much of an achievement, those individual Teachers simply get an internal warning and/or their ability to hand out REP taken away for a certain period of time.

As I said, if properly managed this could only further benefit the Limelight community.

I would personally +Support this.
REPs are divided into 3 categories, with the intent being that it should be easier to get a REP simply because you need more to unlock REP items.
The Teacher Team here is almost completely new to the old team - the one whom the privilege was taken away from because of overuse. I don't think it's fair to hold them back by the same assumption.
Equally, the Teacher Team ain't stupid. They'll easily see past the compliments and general asslickery given to sway them into giving you a REP.

At the end of the day guys, it's more REPs in the picture. Why complain?!

No offence but not many admins give out reps. If you look at the recent reps on the F1 it's almost always empty. So I believe there should be more (non staff) members who are slightly more active and are more involved with RP on a regular basis that can recognise good RP and award people for this.

We keep track on REP (database) anyways. Once abused, we will just revert all those REPs and take action.

Neutral

Needs to be a rule that teachers can not give a REP to another teacher, member of their clan or someone who is participating in their roleplay. If not it's just gonna be you scratch my back I scratch yours. They could just fabricate an RP in every category such as general, government and underground to get all the perks.
