Explain your suggestion, in detail:
Essentially, make every long-term item (vehicles, suits, accessories, "rp items" such as the metal detector) have zero size in the inventory.

Explain why the suggestion should be implemented:
Allows more room for actual consumables, which should be taking space.
Allows us to work towards the goal of reducing overall inventory sizes, if these items are removed from the equation.
