Short Character Bio: Henry spent the majority of his childhood with his father, who was a grounds keeper for a lord with a large amount of deer. His father used to take Henry out into the grounds to shoot pests like foxes and feral dogs. Henry soon developed an affinity for long ranged shooting, and was often shown off to the lord’s friends by having him shoot a bottle from the other end of the lawn without sights. When war came around, Henry enlisted alongside his childhood friends, however was split from them on deployment, he considers that a mercy when he heard of their deaths.

Taylor enlisted at the age of 15 and joined 1 KRRC (1st Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps) as a Private. He quickly proved his abilities during the battle of Talana Hill during the Boer War and by the end of the war he had reached the rank of Corporal. He served in various different positions throughout the force before gaining his commission and reaching second lieutenant on the 8th of April 1913.
