The Great War - Daley - Jan 6, 2020

The "Great War" one of the biggest conflicts in human history, that lasted from 28 July 1914 to 11 November 1918. In this event you will be participating in The Battle of Mons where The British Expeditionary Force clashed with the Imperial German Army on french borders. This event will not be re-telling history, or mimicking the events from the actually battle, but it will function as a base to roleplay from.
Players will be able to join one of two factions, and hold different positions. This event will not just be about shooting the other team, but also role-playing life in the trenches, with the constant pressure of a enemy mortar, or gas attack, or an enemy charge.

Rules:
1. Only spawn appropriate props.
2. Do not make any additional fortifications without clearing it with event staff. If you are given permission, roleplay it out.
3. Do not go out by yourself unless ordered to do so.
4. Machine gunners may only shoot their weapon, while standing still, and being prone or with their gun on a surface.
5. This is world war 1, not world war 2. Keep that in mind.
6. If you hear the trench whistle, you are expected to charge the enemy lines. You may be shot, or court marshaled by your own side, if you fail to do so.
All positions besides the Private, and Soldat positions require to be applied for. Any slots left unfilled may be assigned by officers in-game.

Short Character Bio: Taylor was born in 1878 to a military family, his father had served in the British Army for over 30 years at the time of his death. Taylor enlisted at the age of 15 and joined 1 KRRC (1st Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps) as a Private. He quickly proved his abilities during the battle of Talana Hill during the Boer War and by the end of the war he had reached the rank of Corporal. He served in various different positions throughout the force before gaining his commission and reaching second lieutenant on the 8th of April 1913.
