Don't see why not, can be a faster option, although not entirely necessary. It would be just an optional command after all, doesn't mean it would replace /givemoney.

You've been jumped in some dark woods by a couple shady characters, they've got a gun to your head and are screaming for you to pay them. They seem unstable, and keep telling you to hurry up or they'll shoot you. They won't listen to anything you have to say. Wouldn't you rather save the couple seconds to type /pay instead of /givemoney to get the gun out of your face that much faster?
