I dono, Florida while looking nice from the outside, when you get down and examine it, it seems a tad...small, and lacking in features.

All the shops are prefab with decorations, most look like bookstores (Even the one that says it sells tacos) Making it hard for people to rebuild them into stores they want to RP in, i would say 90% of all storefronts are infact small kiosks.

It lacks an industrial area.

It lacks a commercialarea.

It lacks offices.

It lacks any build space.

Proper houseing is a rarity, unless everyone wants appartments that you can hear your neighbors in at all times.

Criminal RP zones are almost non existant minus one rundown building near the basketball court.

A lot buildings you do see are infact empty shells you cant access, such as the large office tower that is the most visible thing on the map.

It has Gmod game advertising hard built into the map itself, which takes people out of the atmosphere.

Theres to me, alot of things bad about the map, even though it looks nice on the surface, its a map that lacks alot of the depth, customisation and variety people enjoy about the EC maps, and even rockford to a lesser extent.

Maybe if they cleared out these prefab buildings like they did in a few of the shops on the Rockford map. Possibly even still a stretch after that but maybe its for an event or maybe even a map for a US Server, ehhh ehhh

Neither of them i feel it would be good for, the map itself has to little to do on it and to little room for customization to enable the freeform RP that people enjoy and just to few areas for varried RP types to co-exist.

Rockford for as bad as it can be still has some variety in what it offers, in that its not all kiosks and appartments, theres room for industry, crime (What little people manage to do with the map as it is) and customized buildings all over the map, and within the city itself if people can be creative.

Florida lacks alot of what LL would need in a map for it to be a permanent addition for any realistic longevity

Also, we should just realize that the engine supports a map size much smaller than current RPG games or multiplayer games with RP servers. A new map might feel fresh for like a month or so, but it can be explored in max an hour and then that's it. Yes, I know, map rotation, so make that 2 hours.

Should a map change occur? Possibly.
Would a new map bring a lot more opportunities? Yes.
Can a new map ever live up to our expectations? Only partially.
Is it the developers' fault? Absolutely not.

Did anyone see the crane in the video? Now unless you can find that crane on rp_florida, looks to me as if they are creating a new map. Building something from scratch, from the ground up. Probably not, but could possibly be a combination of multiple maps, but with no evidence to connect that, probably not. An event on a different map, what for, rp_florida is dead for events except for a beach party. Oh, that would be cool if there is a beach event for a couple of days or a week for summer. Who wouldn't want to have a beach party?

Sorry, I was just typing my thoughts.

Conclusion:
A beach event for the summer. Possibly for a week, a couple of days, who knows. Maybe some new content for the beach: Beach Ball, Beach Props, etc. Idk, sounds cool in my head. Can't wait to see what is really gonna happen. I don't believe there will be a permanent map change.

Mate I suggested that and was gonna attempt it with a people people around LL but never became a thing in the end.

I wouldn't mind Florida. Well, its a change. 

I feel for the people who want to build.

I've seen the Florida map and I like it enough. It is however small. I see no issue, but all map changes will be controversial as they drive RP and have a lot of influence.

Black dog did mention how there was sections missing that Rockford and evocity have for example industrial.

Who knows? 

Rockford is a great map, but I'm bored of it. Not just from limelight, almost every other community I've been on except fearless had Rockford. Welp there's my lecture.
