3.5 - Custom job titles must state what character you intend to roleplay, and you must roleplay the chosen job accurately (e.g do not RP as a secret agent when your job is set to Chef) 

Setting a job title as mentioned allows staff to regulate the roleplay occurring at the time. My understanding of the description is that it is to describe your character physically, though it's commonly used to summarise the character instead.

My interpretation of 3.5 would be that as long as your custom job represents the job you are doing i.e. being a DJ and playing music rather than shooting up the Town Hall. Whereas with a Police Officer you can be corrupt because you're still actually doing your job as a police officer, but with a little corrupt twist to it.

People don't investigate into your roleplay if you do something that effects them or their friends. If you are a corrupt police officer, they will go out of their way to expose you if you do something against them, even if it is not out of the norm.

This a thousand times. Even during FBI roleplay if we're just walking around in normal clothing and we just have our jobs set people instantly change how they're acting when they have no reason to IC.

Only the police seem to have this kind of "requirement", if im working private security or a government hire or any other job really thats not a cop slot i dont have to list corrupt in any shapre or form, so why do the police? It does nothing but encourage unprovable metagaming and restrict peoples RP abilities.

This is a fantastic point too. It's easy for a staff member to say metagaming will be dealt with because you can do something about it when it happens to you. For players it's damn near impossible to prove in-game, and posting a player report would be ridiculous because a lot of the time the person can lie their way out of it or the proof would not be sufficient (as metagaming is extremely hard to prove).

If I am honest, I think setting a job should be still around however actually displaying the job you are playing is only accessible to the Moderators and Administrators for Moderation Purposes, therefore, people are only able to make assumptions about their role in what they are wearing which is how I it works in real life because you would never know anyone working with the police and I think colours shouldn't be a thing also.

Make it an option to be visible

Yep, along with a 

"Visible ID [ ]" checkbox.

If it's ticked then you're details will be visible to people and you can show up on the scoreboard.
