Rockford is great. Unlike some of the suggested maps it offers a more evolved map layout. The Map isnt as simplistic and circular as evo city is atm. There are several different parts of town including comercial areas, suburbs, a large downtown area as well as a beautifull beach and countryside that are all way better connected and detailed as v33 is.
Rockford comes with a beautiful hospital a police and a firestation that are very well made. It has plenty of small and large business locations meaning that unlike on v33 where we only have abotu 4 mayor shoplocations, rockford enables up to 20+ people to run businesses at the same time without needing to worry for used propperty. Same goes for the residentials: with plenty of appartments and suburbs residential rp becomes a whole new face.
Rockford has a detailed and large scale roadlayout making ´more interesting to navigate: it kinda sucks if you want to run from police but you realise that dtm/corleone etc. all come down to the same few tunnel exits that are easily to predict and block off. Which a map as evolved as rockford people actually have a chance to hide from police for a little while, cab and bus drivers will finally have work, and all other roadbased rps will be enhanced widely.
So to sumb it up:
- Rockford has a nice american themed map that is modelled with hq textures and detailes
- the mapscale is larger but not too large. However it offers plenty of new locations for plenty of new rps
- Mapfeatures such as a Policestation a Hospital a cinema a townhall or a firestation heavily support popular roleplay branches and add enoroumus detail while leaving plenty of space to customise.
- The map layout which for once isnt just a giant donut allows a way more interesting traffic and movement behaviour. While offering local hotspots where youll definatly meet plenty of people, the map is not as tight and limited.

As you can see i strongly favor Rockford. Not only because some of the suggested maps like Paralake simply do lack texturing quality (paralakes comes realy close to GTA SA) but mostly because rockford gives us soooo much more than any of the suggested maps including our current.
Cant urge you enought to test out all the suggested maps before you cast a vote. Trust me youll need to see each

I recently joined a Dark RP server for the hell of it to see how they dealt with v5p and for as much content they had, there was also horrible lag with very little entities from what I could see. Changing to Rockford.

(+/- support) Rockford: Love this map, but again I go back to the question on if our playbase is big enough to keep this map feeling alive. Immersion is everything, and seeing only one person every other street is not immerse. 

Paralake: No opinion. 

My question here is: why fix something that isn't broken? Our current map is perfectly fine, and if you change maps it's just going to be thr same thing, just on different streets.

Maybe we need to redo the voting since most of the people who voted propably didnt know that v5p lagged aswell.


Edit: Or we try out a new map for like a week and see how to works, or maybe there is to much work behind it to be worth the struggle?

one more thing that speeks for rockford: v5p is almost fully identical with our old v2p. And that map got abandoned for a reason. Why replacing a cirular monotone map with one thats just a straight line and doesnt feauture a single unique building or rp spot mroe then our current one (exept for the farms)

While I like Rockford, it got abandoned for a reason too. And not even once.

it got abandoned because unlike now we ran it as a seperate server. Plenty of people had prejudice towards the "bad connection of the american server" people were to lazy to download the content pack and complained about texture issues and never realy took some time to propperly test it out or start mayor rp scenes.
If any of the suggested servers will be running as an second/alternative server none of them will have the chance because peopl tend to be quite conservative in such situations.
But seriously if the option is v5p we dont need to change at all. It doesnt change anything except for the maplayout. The onlything v5ß would probably change is that it would take away wide spaces like mtl and grassys to replace them with narrow map paths on uneven terrain. Why replacing a cricle with a straight line?

While I like Rockford, it got abandoned for a reason too. And not even once.

Technically it was abandoned twice. Once was because it lost its traction as the map creator fudged up the workshop link, where as the EU Rockford just wasn't popular because there was already a familiar map up that had more people on it.

+Support on v5p. There's so much opportunity for RP, with the buildings already made, players can put a spin on them if they wish. The map is huge. Exploring with friends could be endless. There's so many hidden things, like the metro (train) system that takes you to different areas on the map. Rockford and Paralake look shitty compared to v5p.
