Surgery is not bad, surgeons are certified and know what they are doing.

No clue if i would donate my organs, not sure why i wouldn't either as it's a great thing and it's not like i will need them when i'm stone dead.

But will probably be a Organ Donator in the future.

No
- Why/Why not?
I'm not a Organ donor because even though I like saving lives, I just don't fine some kind of purpose of donating organs when alive, but I would let people get my internal organs when I die

Registering as an organ donor is for after you die, no while you're alive.

I'm in the same spot as you. Try looking into donating your organs to science instead.

After receiving a few confused Steam messages and seeing a few of the threads here:

As an organ donor, you only give away your organs after you've died. They won't remove your organs unless they've made all attempts of reviving you, so you won't one day be dragged into a dark van, drugged down and then have your organs harvested all of a sudden. Your organs are taken after you've died, not before.
Sincerely, Enzyme

Great message here. I am a donor, have been for many years.

I'd like to share a story. My youngest son who now has turned 2 in July was born with a Atrioventricular Canal Defect. It basically means that instead of two valves, one going into the right side of the heart, and one going into the left side, he had one giant valve sticking into the top of the heart lopsided.

This was discovered when the doctor noticed a heart murmur during his two-week checkup. Long story short, he spent his first year having 7 open heart surgeries, and many many months we spent at the children's hospital. The surgeon was able to create a special shunt that poked a hole in the large valve and feed into the side that was not getting enough blood.

This was all done using donated tissues. From both human and bovine. If it wasn't for donators, my son would be dead right now. And, in 20 years he might need a heart transplant. That is a cold hard fact. So, to all the donators out there, thank you.

As such, I highly encourage donating. You are clinically dead before they do anything, so... why not? You don't need those organs and tissues any longer, they will just go to waste.

Thank you for reading.

Please consider signing up to become an organ donor. You won't need your organs when you're dead and you can save up to eight lives by making this decision.
Sincerely, Enzyme

Some people choose not to because of their religious beliefs.

Regarding religion and organ donors:

Most religions support it!
