I think it was meant to be the most un-serious way of posing a serious suggestion. Haha

It is, the server either A - Needs a serious announcement that indicates what is happening. Or just take it round back and tell it about the chickens, promptly before blowing its brains out. Its a real shame, as I felt a few months ago that I was getting back into RP. But the server was dead even when it was getting 20 players a day. Half of the time, it was just the same 4 swat outside nexus talking about how dead the server is, dicking about with a pigeon ragdoll I had attached to a motor to make it fly. The rest of the server was either AFK, not interacting, or contrafarming effortlessly. There was real RP happening months ago, but right now its not. Right now the server should be popping. We've mostly all be in lockdown/had more free time due to Covid, at least the UK Playerbase should of. Yet the server has not see a increase in players.

There has been 3 seperate threads reguarding this issue, if that doesn't speak volumes about the state of LL then I don't know what does.

Regular players have been trying to "make the change" for years now as there was basically no effort from the staff team at all (maybe from one or two individuals who are still working, especially Doc and some Devs). At some point, it is just getting ridiculous to again say "you'll have to make the change". The people who are running this place should make a change, but they failed so fucking hard that I can't even find a proper word for it.

This is probably the worst Limelight has done in a while and the effort is still minimal from the staff and not only, if the owner and highest coming ranks aren't interested enough or putting enough effort when the server is at stake, they shouldn't expect others to

Staff effort is not minimal. It's not existent anymore. Putting up big words since the last 5 map changes "omg this and that is coming but it takes time but we do not disclose what it is because it's so secret xd", with absolutely nothing happening. Half if not more of the team is inactive as fuck, especially a specific part of it. It's been like this for years, but every time players confront them, they have yet another excuse to continue doing absolutely nothing but talk bullshit about players in their private sub-forum and be even more inactive.


Oh yeah, this just came to my mind. If a member of staff comes up with the "if you want content, be a contributor": I am a regular player of this community, paying for membership. I don't have to be a contributor to at least expect some content to be published.

This is nothing but overexaggerating. Considering the number of devs we got, it's not easy to just push updates very often. We've had small fun content frequently, although not much it sure is something, not to mention the events. 

Saying that there is 0 work being done just throws all the voluntary hard work away, demotivates the staff and devs and really brings nothing positive. "Staff work is non existent" is easy to say if you never really join and do nothing but complain about the server being dead (not personally directed to you, most people who complain never really join), while not realizing the impact. There's certainly stuff which needs to be worked on within the staff team, however I do believe the players still have a chance to revive the server, however demotivating not only the staff but also other players and minging around definitely ain't it.

Sorry but not sorry. Not easy to push updates very often? The last content update was the suit overhaul, which is not really a content update considering we had suits before. This "update" was published on the 2. September 2019, almost one year ago.

I agree it is not easy to push updates very often, but I am sure most of the players would agree that there are just no updates at all. Especially no updates to keep players on the server.

Sorry but where's the "small fun content"? And how far do you stretch frequently? If I check the "updates" section, I can not really seem to find any "small fun content" update. For sure, if you go down to the valentines event, which is not an update, you have some "small fun content", but this was in February.

Small number of Devs? Let me give you some numbers. I'll take FL as an example:
FL has 8 devs, LL has 6 devs.
FL has 3 contribs, LL has 6 contribs plus 5 media contribs

FL has made a shit ton of updates and content updates, especially since Divey was handed over Owner. You can also check their "updates" section.
LL? Take a look at the "updates" section and make yourself a picture.

Fur sure, as Doc stated several times, some of the Devs are just for specific parts of the "system", but the same goes with FL.

Sorry that after a year of absolutely nothing I start to bring up negative stuff. I just can't seem to find that much positive stuff here atm. I also don't know how being inactive for months with different excuses is "voluntary hard work". No one is forcing any of the staff members to stay and "volunteer".

Oh sorry if I have demotivated anyone of the staff team. But can we maybe focus on the players which are apparently to demotivated that not a single soul is joining the server anymore? And maybe focus on why they are demotivated?

This is just plain stupid, sorry. How can you blame players for not joining Limelight? I mean, what are you supposed to join for atm? To roleplay with yourself?
As I stated in my previous post, players tried to keep the server alive for a couple of months, but there was absolutely no response from the staff team. Just none. I mean, I could join the server right now to play with the 2 people online. Will that change my opinion? No, it'll just get "worse".

Oh also, I am allowed to complain as much as I want. Especially when there are more than enough reasons to actually complain. It's not "our" fault that there's so much to complain about.

Edit: Look, I really do not want to be the negative bitch. I also want that LL gets back to its former "glory" with a steady playerbase and all that. But at some point, it's just frustrating to see how nearly nothing is done to change this situation at all.
