You do have a point, Blazing. At the moment, all you need is a few bucks to buy an axe and time to make thousands. Unless the trees get cut down and have like a growing timer, it's a cash farm that's too much.

Yeah, suitable methods of nerfing lumberjacking would be to make it less sustainable in the long term. Right now, you make an initial investment of buying an axe (usually a modern axe for long-term earnings) and you never lose that axe if you're careful.

There needs to be some drainage of cash during the lumberjacking process. As you said, trees could get cut down and have a timer for growing (and lumberjacks could even be given the option to use fertilizer to increase this rate of growth). Also, axes could have a random chance of breaking (higher chance for basic, lower chance for modern) so that you have to be continually spending money to lumberjack.

It's not about me, and you don't have to turn this argument into something personal. If you actually saw me, then you would see that I'm often one of the players woodcutting.

However, I've seen a great disparity economically between players who woodcut and players who do not. Woodcutting should be profitable, but not to such a great extent. The income could remain the same, but there needs to be some sources of money drain during the process.

Currently, it's a one time investment and you only ever make money from that point onwards. It's like paying a relatively small fee for your electricity, and then having full access to that electricity forever.

Let's stop the discussion on this thread as it doesn't get us to anywhere and just annoy people here. What about if you could make a suggestion, that would higher the chance of it being accepted than writing below a thread to buff a different income source.

I'm sorry, but that is completely wrong in my opinion. With contraband, you're risking being put in jail for 15 minutes alongside the time taken for police to actually put you in jail. What's the risk with woodcutting? You get mugged every now and again for a maximum of $500 every 15 minutes, which you can pay off within a minute or two of woodcutting.

How exactly is that fair? With contraband, you take a bigger risk and your reward is lower. When you woodcut, there is very little risk involved and you get a high reward.

This entire gamemode is based around a woodcutting economy with little incentive to boost payment due to the microtransactions that run the server, imo contraband needs to have a bigger payout than woodcutting and government workers need to make more money for destroying the contraband, this would balance out the spectrum of underground vs. government clans / jobs.

You can easily make $1000 a minute from hitting a tree with a modern axe w/o steroids, and with steroids you don't have to wait long before being incredibly rich, this speaking from a person who has done this a lot, but instead of wanting to protect my precious little money making scheme I'd rather have it balanced out.

There is little to no risk woodcutting, being robbed for $500 has little to no effect, I see people gladly giving that amount of money compared to what they earn from doing it.

Contraband however is a huge risk if done correctly compared to woodcutting as it requires money to set it up, it requires the person to use props and build, it requires the person to aquire firearms, ammunition, medkits, organization and on top of it all, you earn a whole lot less for it than woodcutting which in my opinion is ridiculous for all the time, money and effort required.

Sitting around the tree area, not having to use any props and making small chat isn't really much of a ''lumberjack'' RP either, and the boost to the contraband in my opinion will give underground clans an incentive to make more RP as they profit from it, as any little base can get taken down by the government, bigger more organized crime networks will have a better chance.

I think they should buff the income from illicit activities like contraband as it may develop into more interesting criminal RP and will let the government factions have a lot more to do, not only take down the emerging gangs but naturally also develop into more RP factions like Drug Enforcement Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Central Intelligence Agency and so on.

Same for criminals as they will have to team up to stand a chance against the government. Cartels, Mafia's, Yakuza's, whatever else you can think of - will be more prominent and have more underground roleplay involved due to finally having a reason to do so.

But that's just like, my opinion man.

Woodcutting is probably the most boring and anti-RP way to make money in this server. It's virtually risk-free and the payout is huge.
Not sure why there's even contraband with a balance like that. but it should definitely be tweaked.
Contraband should be made more rewarding because you risk getting raided and arrested by lolcops.
Woodcutting should also be made less rewarding, or possibly more risky.
There's literally no reason to make contraband right now.
