What you guys are still not understanding is the fact that it's a military, we pay healthcare, yes, but DoD has a LIMIT they can spend. For example, here is how much each branch gets. (est)
Of course, being a military, we invest in brand-new war-tech, shown here. (est)
Finally, this. Do you really think we can afford to pay another few billion just so some people can have their feelings satisfied? It's a fucking military, not a school.

Once again it's somewhere between 2-8 million with an M, not billions, quite a difference.

2-8M for aprox. 15,500 people? That covers surgery, the pills, and the therapy? Nonetheless, we simply do not have money for it. The money would be better off going to add new tech to the military, we still use outdated tech because we can't afford to buy new or research tech.
^^ I've seen this first hand.

According to this- https://uk.businessinsider.com/how-many-...?r=US&IR=T

RAND derived estimates based on survey data and private health insurance claims data and found that each year, between 29 and 129 active military service members might seek transition-related care "that could disrupt their ability to deploy."

But no you're right, all transgender people are leeches to the system and only join the military to get the surgery.

So you want MORE people to join that bandwagon? We're trying to reduce that issue, not increase it. Carter and Obama added more issues to the system, now Mattis and Trump are trying to reduce the issues. Are all non-transgender military personal leeches? No. Of course there is some, as that's how people are. The majority of transgenders only join to get their surgery, and then do 2 weeks worth of service until their contact is up. I also thought that liberals/dems were against joining Armys? I honestly dont see why this is such an issue, the only reason why the media is stomping on it is because it was Trump who instated the ban.

I'm confused, is it some transgender or the majority? You kinda contradict yourself here.

I also thought that liberals/dems were against joining Army's?

Care to provide any credible sources on these two points you make or is it just what you think?

We give healthcare to soldiers since they are supposed to actually make a difference, whether it be front lines, on a ship, etc. We don't want to pay for free gender change surgeries for people who won't even do PT. It would make more sense to spend those 2-8 million dollars on replacing old equipment, for example replacing humvees with MRAPs or JLTVs.

Maybe he means shouldn't Trump have bigger issues to concern him with than banning transgender people from the military?
If he looked hard enough there's many, many other ways he could save the US a few million dollars, not going golfing pretty much every week for one Tongue

Ok, Why are you so focused on it if there are larger issues to be concerned about? Just need something to badmouth the president over? Also every president has gone golfing, it's not a big thing.

He is Commander-In-Chief of the US Armed Forces. If there is an issue that concerns the military, he deals with it. I'm sure it wasn't just Trump who decided to do this, it was Secretary Mattis and others. There are many ways he could cut spending, but I'm sure many of those ways would receive major backlash from different groups of people.

Why does it matter that Trump is using his own golf courses? Obama took vacation to play golf, why can't he?

Because it seems very much like this was made because of discrimination of transgender people and a step backwards in progression for their community. And while I'm not transgender myself I am not okay with discrimination.

It costs the US between 2-8 million annually (approximately 0.0001% of the overall budget)  for such surgeries according to studies (https://edition.cnn.com/2017/07/26/polit...index.html). That's pennies for the US, put into perspective they reportedly spend 41.6 million on viagra.

Trump is full of shit as usual.

Well, if I were an American I would rather see those 2-8 million go to something else than someones identity crisis/mental illness. They are using the system. Remember that most of the LBTQ-community are leftists who oppose armys and such so why the hell would they join the military?

The money is more well spent on Viagra than on these transgender cucks.

This is a joke right? I don't think you actually give a damn about the costs, you just wanna stick it to the left side and restrict the rights of LGBT people.

Altough its always fun to put lefties on the spot, I am serious. I wouldn't be happy if my tax money that I pay for a better society goes to people who wants to change their gender for free because they have been indoctrinated by cultural-marxism.
