Lack of communication on the police radio sometimes can cause it too.
No one calls out who's responding to a 911 call (I'm guilty of this too sometimes, admittedly) - so everyone just assumes to respond.

I usually tell people that they are not needed here, if they fail to leave I report them to the sergeant or if I am the serg I will threaten with demotion, I love how scared people get sometimes.
imo just be a little aggressive when this happens, tell people they are not needed, it is probable they are going to get in their car and go.

Go Sgt.
Setup Roll Call.
Give Partners
Assign special units if you wanna.
Inform them you won't tolerate stupid BS.
Demote anyone who doesn't follow orders you deem important.

Funny thing is that the people complaining, sees it from a criminal perspective:
* Guy speeding
* pulling over
* ask him nicely for his license, just inform him about speeding
* Gets sniped in the head
Or
Guy walking on the road
Cop car next to him tells him to stop to inform:
- Pulls wep and blows you up
Or when you pull someone over he is like (LOOC: Hurry up, no I don't want to do this shit)
I r8 it 8/8 m8.

It's actually against the rules to kill a player during a traffic stop as most of the time the player is ASSUMING he will be arrested. We can't allow killing under assumptions.

Am I correct in thinking that you can, in fact kill the officer if you are wanted and with reasonable expectation of a long prison sentence?

Not unless they are an immediate threat. If there is a chance to warn him off, you should do so as shooting a cop will only worsen your problem.

Mhm. Now that's a different scenario. During a pursuit, there is always the threat of lethal force. At that point I would consider you shooting at cops alright.

That's when I do super serious rp and make it a 15 minute traffic stop That's not even that bad though, if the cop is being reasonable (and realistic) I have literally no problem; cause it doesn't ruin the experience. But if they just hop out and pull a shotgun and point it at your car, what's even the point?
