For a definite solution, we need a wider group of people to vote and put in their input.
How should we do this?
I think a good way would be to have a vote show up in the MotD (popup menu thingy when you join the server) and/or in the chat when you join. Would be best to somehow have it in-game and linked to the SteamID of people so they can vote without registering on the forums. Maybe an in-game command like /votemap change or /votemap keep that lets each player vote once only. Keep the vote for a week or two going with some reminders in OOC and we can have a much larger vote turnout.
So... every player (even with zero hours / zero knowledge of the map V5p) could vote ingame for this. ~35 % would vote random.

Better than having only 20% of our community vote on it.
The only way the vote could if people with 50 hours could only vote that would get read of the random people voting, for the map. or even 25 hours.
An hour restriction makes no sense? Hours mean nothing, what about someone who came from a different community who knows the maps, and likes the one being voted on?
Why should their vote mean any less than someone with 1000hrs?
Okay we could have some sort of hour limit on the vote as well, maybe 10-20+, not more than 50 if we want a high vote count.

I agree with Blackdog.
It has been stated serveral times, even before LimeLight was a thing. Hours is nothing. Hours is a number. Why should someone who is JOINING THE COMMUNITY not have a say in what the map should be?
Hours are nothing and every vote counts. We can not restrict voters on this important subject.

I can understand some reasoning for having a restriction, i.e. to ensure that those voting are actually likely to stick around to play on the new server rather than join, vote and leave making some of the votes worthless compared to those who consistently play and are more likely to make use of the new map.
Even if it's just one or two hours to ensure that people aren't voting just because it pops up and they choose a random one to get rid of it.
Hours shouldn't matter on this topic, not only would it be a logistical nightmare but it wouldn't be right to deem someones opinion as invalid just because they don't have many hours on our community.

Would like to see more opinions about this seeing as the server gets more bland from using this overused map. If you have an idea of map, go ahead and suggest it, or share your opinion.
i would say , lets make a run test on i, we dont need necessary to touch in v4b1 for now , we open a second server

I will leave this here, https://limelightgaming.net/forums/thread-13300.html
People get to join a popular map while we can still provide a new feel with custom maps?
(I know this is going slightly off-topic from the OP)
Yes! This can assist in making the server noticeable aslong as we make the tether area POP OUT on the map.
What's the performance like on This new map? Do we still get the FPS and lag from nexus?
Voted Yes btw

Not compared to its current status, no.
And thanks for voting!
