Description: I was having some fps issues and i downloaded a cfg file that seemed to have some pretty positive feedback (I'll put the link after) i put it in the cfg folder and ran it with the console when i entered gmod, i tried to join the server and it would crash before going into "sending client info", So i deleted the config, tried to join again in hopes of not paying much attention to the low framerate, but it still crashed, i'm pretty sure it happened because of the config file and even after deleting the file, re-installing the game twice, and deleting all the files manually it still doesn't work, the game just crashes.

Bug is [In-Game/On Forums/Other]: In-Game (just before it goes to "Sending Client Info")

Since when have you experienced the bug?: Since i downloaded the cfg file

Also i was able to create a single player server and play in it, i was also able to join the Build server.

I'm not sure if you guys can help me with this but i'd really apreciate a solution, only thing i have in mind right now is to format my computer but i'd like to avoid that...

Right click on Garry's Mod in steam library and Select Properties. Then click SET LAUNCH OPTIONS. Delete everything from there. When you open your game also reset all the graphics options to default (They have a star * next to them). Try again.

Edit: Also the correct thread would be Help & Support rather than Bugs, for future information.

Alright , sorry about that , didn't really know where to put it.

So, i did what you said and i also unsubscribed from all the addons and put them back, then i realized that the problem comes from the settings, when i put material and texture quality on low, it crashes my game for some reason, when i put them on high i'm able to join the server but then i'm disconnected and this weird thing appears here's a picture:



Don't know what this is but i'm going to try to change some settings around to see if i can find out what it is.

Disconnected: d. is something i've never seen and i have no idea what it is.

That disconnect thing is NOT YOUR FAULT. I was just on the server and there is an issue where people get DC'd with really random error messages. Don't mess with any more settings it won't help. Hopefully the issue is fixed soon. It should let you play if you try reconnecting enough times now.

Did you have to do anything when you joined i have had the same issue for around 4 days now
