With the fantastic new forum design, the HUD is also undergoing a slight makeover to tie in with the forum theme.
Whilst our Contributors - Noble and Cameon - are doing amazing work handling it, they've asked that the Community has their say on part of the HUD: the Voice Visualiser.

For those who are unaware, the Visualiser is the small panel on the bottom right of your screen which shows which players are speaking through their Mic.

There are three possibilities:

1. Keep the orange line on the top of each player's box
2. Change the colour depending on the player's job (Blue for police, green for citizen, etc.)
3. Remove the line completely

If you have any other ideas, feel free to tell us; that's what the thread is for!

This is how it currently looks, with the orange line:

I would like the visualizer to change color according to the person's job; my reason for such being that it helps to differentiate between the people speaking; for example, a police officer is going to be speaking with more authority than Joe Average, and having the blue color to his name gives him de facto priority over others in a conversation. Since we can't distinguish between people as quickly as we could in real life from our characters ingame, this would help immensely in trying to locate a person I'm trying to address directly if that happens to be an issue (and it can be, in groups of people).

I like the idea of the color matching the job type. As mentioned, it helps to sort out who is who a little better, that the police officer speaking would warrant more attention, etc...

I would prefer the standard orange as used on the forums as it would be more pleasing to the eye.

Plus it ties everything in together and make it OUR brand Smile

I like the orange on the forum as well because it's easier to look at, but I don't think that it's the topic of this discussion

For option number 2 are we refering to the current usage of the visualiser which shows your jobs colour rather thatn the player that's actually speaking or will it be using the colour of the player that is actually speaking?
