Personally I disagree with sitting such stressful exams at the age of 16. To the extent that they can affect one's future. Also, I think it's wrong we start formal education at 4.5/5 years old.

However, I think it's possible GCSEs will be more important than ever for university applications due to the A Level reforms whereby AS levels will be discontinued to contribute 50% toward an A Level. Oh well.

Well my results for the Irish equivalent of GCSE's are tommorow and all I can say is:
