Hey everyone,

I'm wanting to gauge thoughts on what updates could be made to the President and Vice President jobs

They're quite basic in their abilities to control the city/outskirts, I am wondering what ideas everyone might have to expand the jobs allowing them to be more immersive and involved

I thought maybe they could have access to their own sort of police computer that specifically catered to their role. Just ideas I am throwing out there, I am keen to hear what others have in mind

Cheers,

Nac

A voting system would be a good start

Add a Government Treasury controlled by a UI or similar that the president/vice can allocate to the rest of the government;

This fund, supported by "federal grants"  is proportional to the quantity of people in the government. The president can subsequently allocate a percentage of it to be paid - on top of the salary - to the different divisions.

This can be helpful for several scenarios:

-Bonuses: Provide an incentive for the government to be joined by people or even when performing well. Not to mention, this could even encourage more players to join the underrated government jobs like the FD or paramedics.
-Budget Allocation: For example, extra "Emergency funds" can be temporarily allocated to the Medics & police force if crime is rapid.
-Embezzlement RP: The president/Vice can push the fund to an Undisclosed category which would go to themselves or other organisations they desire
-Whistleblower / Investigation RP: If the funding is misused or some corruption is noticed, then the president/Vice can be investigated for it
-Auditing capabilities: You can allow the "Audit Reports" to be viewed by people (at the discretion of the president/vice)

Potential expansions could add an impeachment feature(?) which would allow people to vote to impeach the president..etc

Notes:

- This would be controlled by a custom UI
- There should be caps in place to balance the system

Really love this idea

I wonder if we could also have a variety of options that could be included in the funding options such as “Do you want ANPR cameras at the city tunnel entrance” or “Do you want officers armed”, quite like you said and it comes out of their budget

Crime rates and tax percentages not only affects the income tax but things like gas prices, repair costs, housing prices / rent.

They could have access to democracy style voting systems for new laws and policies that citizens can support or refuse.
