Marco Vedici was a young, ambitious captain of the Genovese Crime Family. He was raised in Brooklyn, New York, to two Italian immigrants who arrived in the city in 1987. From a young age, Vedici was involved heavily in organised crime, alongside his older sister, Antonia Vedici. Marco, whilst a loudly spoken and aggressive young man, has a talent for numbers, and from the ripe young age of 13, found himself selling various goods that had ‘fallen off of the back of a truck’ and paying the proceeds up the chain of command. His sister, meanwhile, embedded herself into the Civil Service, using her position to enrich the La Cosa Nostra families with knowledge of Government Officials’ vices.
By 15, Marco was ‘painting houses’ on  behalf of his outfit. By 18, he was a made man in the Columbo Crime Family. By 23, he himself became a Caporegime, with a focus on the lucrative rackets of strip clubs, drug farms, and brothels under the Columbo’s protection. He was making a fortune; an average of $600,000 USD per week. An operation was launched by the FBI Organized Crime Division to dismantle the Columbo Crime Family through a campaign of distrust. They planted agents to steal cars carrying money, wiretap businesses and blackmail mafioso soldiers. Marco’s outfit was their first target, and knowing no better, the family pointed fingers at an allegedly bent accountant for pocketing cash and turning states. Three more Capos would be fingered by the family before they got wise to the Fed’s plan.
Marco was the only one to escape, fleeing to EvoCity from the house-painters of the family. By the time word got to him that the hit had been called off, and the Fed’s operation unveiled, Marco was a made man in the Genovese Family - a Caporegime heading the Protection Outfit. He hates EvoCity to its core, but wasn’t that fond of New York either. Where there was money to be made, Marco made it.


Marco Vedici was placed under Federal Investigation by the FBI in early February 2020, not long after he was ‘made’ as a Caporegime in the Genovese Crime Family. Through this investigation, Marco and other members of the Genovese were indited on multiple counts of Fraud, Racketeering, Murder, Extortion and more.


Before he could stand trial, in March 2020, he was killed in a drive-by shooting through the windows of a Genovese Top-Street Club. The assailant is still being sought by authorities, but has not yet been found. Rumours are circulating that the Genovese, despite the surveillance, got to him first. The assailant is unknown; there are theories that it was Revolver Gang hit, Vendetta Family hit, or even a hit left outstanding by the Columbo Crime Family. No other reprisals have followed thus far, leaving this unlikely.
