So if I have created a clan and I wish to leave the clan, how exactly do I do that? Keep in mind that I've tried and it told me I can't leave it because I am the leader of the clan.

You need to type /clan delete in chat. I believe it will then ask for you to enter the name of the clan (security feature to stop people accidentally deleting it) then you need to wait for the server to restart.
