Marion County officers under investigation for misconduct

EvoCity, ID - A formal investigation has been launched by the Marion County Sheriff's Office into the conduct of several of its officers amidst the recent arrest of Senator Richard Pumpkin. The senator is currently hospitalised after sustaining severe traumatic injuries to his chest, arms, and legs. Allegations also include improper use of force, harassment as well as false imprisonment in relation to an earlier arrest that concluded with the senator's release.

MCSO was "unable to comment further" on the internal investigation.
