Except that's not what I said. I'm comparing the idea that you should be allowed to live life how you want to live it. Except, there is a system we call law and order which prevents us from doing what we want in order for society to function smoothly.

I'll be honest, I don't see how this is a valid comparison.

I don't see how being transgender can even remotely be compared to murderers, thieves or rapists. Those 3 things are all crimes and have a negative effect on other people, of course they should not be allowed.

The things you have compared have absolutely no similarities to transgenderism. What two consenting adults do in their own lives shouldn't be dictated by anyone or anything. Who are you to dictate what people feel like or are attracted to?

Quote religious verses and post right wing speakers all you want, it doesn't change how these people feel or if they can help how they feel. Just like you can't help being gay. When he was comparing Transgenderism to other things that people want to live their life as (murderers, thieves). He isn’t necessarily saying being a tranny isn’t as bad as being a rapist.
Compare it to something less harmful, where the only victim is yourself, which arguably transgenderism is: illegal drug use, speeding, suicide. Just because you want to do these things doesn’t make it allowed. Those are just some examples that aren’t inherently immoral like the examples Octagon used.

I personally don’t have an issue as long as they don’t force their gender dysphoria on me. If you are biologically a male, I will call you a man. Gender and Sex to me are the same and always will be. You can act like the other gender, dress like them, or even talk in the fashion of one, but you’re still the gender your sex is regardless imo.

Also it’s sad to see that thread was shut down. Serious discussions were held and it got shutdown for a serious discussion. Maybe they should’ve just not posted in that part of the forum if they didn’t want differing opinions. We should add a safe space forum where no one can add differing opinions to mine.

First of all, I believe that transgenderism is almost on the borderline of a mental illness and because of the high depression and suicide rates amongst transgender people they should see psychiatric help to deal with it (not to stop being transgender, just finding a professional to talk to as a way to cope with it better).

However, I think of transgender people similar to how I think about religious people.

You can do what you like as long as you don't hurt anyone.
You can do what you like as long as you don't try to force your ideologies on anyone (particularly children), don't try and make me refer to you by whatever gender you pretend to be. If you're biologically a male, then I will call you a male, and if you're biologically a female, then I will call you a female.
I also believe that transgender people should stay within whatever limits are set for their biological gender, eg. male/female segregated sports, bathrooms, etc.

I'm left leaning, but Jesus Christ, the PC far left drives me insane.

I have no clue why transgenderism is still included in LGBT. Three of the things in LGBT are natural sexualities, the other one is a borderline mental illness at the very least.

But yeah, just like other pointless themed weeks for minority groups it needs to be done away with.
