Rockford Bank in flames!

The Rockfordian have gained access into one of the most significant fires Rockford has ever seen. Originating on top of the Rockford Bank, debris covered in flames fell onto the civilians and first responders below. Police set up a cordon which allowed Firefighters and Paramedics to begin searching through the rubble in an attempt to find survivors and bodies.

During the recovery process, many first responders were injured, all with serious injuries. However, we do not have any reports of government workers being killed. Unfortunately, ten civilian bodies were recovered from the scene. 

Once the debris had stopped falling, Firefighters began to climb to the top to assess the fire. After hours of battling the flames, the burning of the Rockford Bank was put out.

Our reporter, Ollie Nicholls, spoke to Bank Manager Chloe Mellish to find out more about the situation:

The fire at our lovely Rockford Bank has been traumatic for all who were involved. We sound our deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones today. At this current time the cause of the fire is not known; however we believe it was due to some maintenance work that caused a gas pipe to leak, and then within a few hours, explode.

We thank the Marion County Fire Department and the Rockford Police for helping us tackle the fire, along with all the helpful citizens of Rockford who stood up and assisted as Volunteer firefighters and EMS.

We will be starting a donation fund for those who were injured in the event, and for those who have lost their loved ones.

10/10 was a clusterfuck, some fire got caught in a place which people couldn't extinguish so I had to go sneaky mode and "borrow" a firefighter spot ¬_¬
