BREAKING NEWS:

ROCKFORD: The Rockfordian have been informed of an attempted heist of 'The Bank of Rockford.' One male, who is yet to be identified, stormed the bank with multiple firearms and took the three present staff members as his hostages. The three hostages were: Jess Stephensons (Bank Owner), Chloe Mellish (IT Assistant) and Ollie Clarke (Security Guard)

The Police were informed to the hostage situation by one of the staff members pushing the panic button. While the hostage taker, who is yet to be named by the Police, expressed his demands to the SWAT team, security guard Ollie Clarke attempted to neutralise the man by hitting him over the head with an ASP Baton. The attack failed which led to Ollie Clarke being shot by the hostage taker. The SWAT Officers on scene paid the hostage taker an unspecified amount of money for the injured Security Guard to be released, saving his life.

While the SWAT Officer was ensuring that the injured Guard was receiving medical attention, the hostage taker locked himself and the two other hostages in the bank's vault. After an hour of negotiation talks, SWAT and the local Police Department decided to escalate the situation and stormed the vault. During the shootout, both hostages were killed and so was the hostage taker. No Police or SWAT Officers were taken casualty during the firefight.
