This has been like it since the start, each membership paid for generates the message but it might be a little cleaner to just have a message like you said.

for simplicity i never rewrote it to handle quantity
the website simple adds the membership to pending 1 by 1
and ingame handles as such
like in your example, thats 1 year of member ship, is 4 lines for something you do once in a year an issue?

if it was a simple output change fair enough, but this would require alot more of a change
