A statue of a kebab has been erected in front of the Rockford town hall in honor of local hero, whose passion was running his kebab stand. Flowers and candles were placed in surrounding areas to remember the fallen hero, who lost his life after fending off an armed robber. The owner was known for his kind hearted gestures such as giving free kebabs to the homeless on a regular basis.
