Suggestion:
Silent Alarm - Purchasable

Description:
Useful in StoreRP and also in a home. When pressed, it alerts local law enforcement through a colored chat message, an example below of what they would see:

Quote:(SILENT ALARM)  There has been a silent alarm triggered at <Location>

This is to alert local law enforcement of a situation where you may feel threatened, for example, a home invasion or an armed/masked individual entering a store.

+support. only issue is if someone tries to cry fearRP since you silently triggered the alarm under fearRP.

Like I mentioned in the other suggestion, FearRP should in a sense be dumbed down and replaced with game mechanics and leaving it up to the player depending on situational context and what he or she may decide to do. I don't believe FearRP should apply in a situation like this either as if you had a silent alarm within reach when an armed robber was entering a store, you'd go ahead and press it as fast as possible. Even if the armed assailant had you come out from behind the counter, you may have the silent alarm placed in the path that you will be moving and may be able to unnoticeably press it while following his/her orders. We should be prioritizing PassiveRP scenarios and ensuring that the person interfering with a passive roleplay has established risks that they may encounter. You could possibly have the silent alarm have a simple red/green light to indicate if it has been triggered and this could allow the armed person to check behind any counters and see if an alarm had been triggered.

Makes sense but the alarm would be overpowered.

People would press the alarm and waste robbers time by typing slower or doing the worst /me's you have ever seen.

Perhaps a delay on the alarm? Visual indicator also sounds good.

People already do that whenever they're getting robbed. Just a constant /me the money get stuck in the register.

OT: +Support but, as others stole directly from my brain, FearRP would be a problem. It already is a problem since realistically a gun doesn't equal mind control and I can tell you right now if some buster tried to roll me over I'd be pulling some Chai Tea roundhouse kicks straight out of a Tom Clancy book. Honestly there's no real way to balance this and FearRP without re-working the rule itself.

I have a Security Company that handles this kind of thing, I don't want this cutting into my business!

You may run a security company but you're not law enforcement.

Store robberies aren't handled by civilians who are acting as glorified police officers. If you want to participate in a meaningful way, install a security camera on their property and leave a notice that the building is secured by <NAME> and have someone patrolling the area, but like I mentioned nobody is going to hire you and not need law enforcement.

Even FUMUKU relies on law enforcement to handle situations once they are under control. However it's quite unbeneficial to not give support on something that has an alternative as easy as binding a "/request Panic button triggered at %l"

OPTIONAL: (2) Options of Silent Alarms - (1A) One that sends a message to local law enforcement and (1B) One that allows you to choose a private radio frequency or, if possible, a clan radio. (Whichever is easier)

Thats exactly what our primary service is, monitoring. This cuts out the middleman (us) for the majority of our business.

No reason why the button couldn't have an option that redirects the panic call to a clan or individual rather than government.
