Swedish media reports of many dead people after a truck has driven on a shopping street and into a shopping mall in Stockholm, Sweden. I will update this thread with links when the English media starts to write about it. It seems like at least 3 people is confirmed dead atm.

Update: Rumours about shootings on Fridhemsplan goes around on Twitter. Fridhemsplan is not close to where the truck drove into the mall so not sure if it may be related.

A truck has rammed into a large crowd of people in the centre of Stockholm.

Witnesses say the large vehicle drove into people in the Drottninggata area of the Swedish capital.

It is thought to have been driven into the Åhlens Mall with witnesses saying hundreds of people ran for their lives.

It is not yet known if anyone has been injured.

Speaking to Swedish news site aftonbladet, eyewitness Jan Granroth said:

"We stood inside a shoe store, and we heard no noise, and so people start screaming.

"So I look out at the store, so I see a huge truck slams into the wall opposite."

Seems like the truck was stolen and three armed men was dropped off at Fridhemsplan, this is a well planned terror attack.

I happen to live in a another City (only a couple kilometers from Stockholm) so I personaly wasn't affected. My condolenses go out the ones affected by this attack and I hope that Sweden manages to prevent these from occuring in the furture.

On a serious note Im not suprised this happened, I dont blame islam either it was just a funny joke. I pray for all the victims and their families, hopefully we can work together to prevent these attacks to happen.

1 suspect have been arrested by police as Swedish Security Service (SÄPO) are still searching for more suspects that could be in connection to the terror attack. The National Task Force (Nationella Insatsstyrkan) in Sweden are peforming multiple raids around Stockholm in search for more suspects.
