So,do we actually need things that are rep locked?I really don't see a point in locking them as it's just forcing players to RP just to make their RP ''better'' with new items.

We do need it to act as an incentive to do well thought out RP with good detail and background. This is an RP server, and you are making it sound like RP is a chore.

With the current system players who don't put much detail into their RPs are given an incentive to enhance their RP, and players who put in a lot of detail and effort into their RPs from the get-go get rewarded and have a sense of progression.

And even if you actually find RPing in a way that gets you REP a chore, it's still healthy for any game to have certain items that require work to achieve, to allow players who are willing to put in the extra effort to feel unique in some way.

imo there should be even more REP locked items than there are currently.

Just like Overlewd said, you act as if RP is a chore when it is infact is the whole point of the server. I want more rewards.

REP rewards are just what we need as an RP server. The amount of people who are encouraged to do RP because of the REP system show that it is a necessity here - without this progression system, people have nothing to strive towards, and less new and interesting RP ideas come up.
