Twelve people are confirmed to have died after a truck ploughed into a crowded Christmas market at Berlin’s Breitscheidplatz at around 8pm on Monday evening. A further 50 people have been taken to hospital with injuries, some of them serious. Eyewitnesses said the truck drove into the market at speed, crushing visitors.

Berlin police say their investigation is now working on the assumption that the truck was deliberately driven into the Christmas market.

Two people were inside the lorry when it smashed into the market, a police spokesperson told Berlin Morgenpost. They confirmed that they are treating the incident as a suspected terrorist attack. One of the people was captured on the at the scene, but later died. Another suspect was discovered nearby and taken to a police station, an official said. Police believe that the surviving suspect was the driver of the lorry.

Well, It's absolutely disgusting. My thoughts go out to the victims and families effected in this horrific attack.

As a person with German ancestry it's sad to see this happen but come on. ISIS is calling for all followers to drive trucks into crowds and ISIS even admits they're using the migration crisis as a way to spread their forces camoflaged into western first world countries, then shit like this and Nice, France happens, and everyone is all confused.
