Yes, game just freezes and stays like that,(20mins earlier)
gpu drivers all upto date

Tried using compatability mode with windows 7 too but no joy.

Tried starting game as admin - no joy again

disable multicore rendering as it could be causing crashes, it is still on a Alpha/Beta stage.

@Burnett I think I've found the issue, and if I'm right then it isn't only affecting this player.

After discussing a little bit with Ozzie, I noticed a pattern about the files his client were trying to download - they were all non-existant on the FastDL server (tested by going to fastdl.limelightgaming.net/path/to/broken/file) and seeing if it was there or not and in all cases, the file which was attempting to download wasn't present on the FastDL using that technique.

This leads me to believe either two options:

* We're missing a large bit of content from the FastDL, which is extremely unlikely.

or...

* A script is attempting to force files on to the client, and because the client can't download what isn't there, it'll end up timing out. This is the much more likely option.

Would you mind taking a look please? Sorry for the double tag!

Re-installing the game for a 3rd time has worked!!

I did nothing different than the other 2 times either!

The only problem i have now is all the grass is black and purple. (sure its an easy fix right?"

Notes:

I'll give Ozzie a hand in private regarding the whole texture thing. Not too sure why it took 2 reinstalls to resolve but whatever, all done now.
