While this may sound absolutely mental, what if someone put v33x and RF into one map, so it literally would be as if you were just crosssing a border instead of changing server entirely

Would people be able to handle the giant server?

Would be nice, but would cause massive lag. Maybe a possibility with a different map than v33x?

Although all these ideas are great and I was getting excited at all of them. The majority is virtually impossible given you are connecting to a different server etc.

Nothing a little Lua doesn't fix.

We could just use a database to transtransfer data

Still quite possible Tongue
Some of you may know that the @ system actually connects across all Limelight servers, essentially meaning that radios, laws and OOC chat are quite possible to have working across multiple servers. With a few tweaks to the president job mentioned in previous posts and a bit of networking changes, it'll work.

Yeah, developing this is fairly standard and won't be a problem. We just need to ensure we have a concrete plan and that none of our ideas have any downsides that could negatively impact one server, i.e. one President won't really be able to cover both servers effectively so I think that's out.

I don't know that sounds like a really good idea tbh

Just would need to make global messaging that allows broadcasts to go onto the other server(s) as well as government radio messages, though it would show (v33x) and (RF) before the message.

Vice President could always go and pay regular visits and have a bigger role and what not.

Having the standard radio frequencies shared would create a bit of confusion; realistically each city should have their own separate radios for Police/Fire/EMS/SWAT, but still need a joint communication system.

Maybe create a multi-server National Government radio, and a server only Local Government radio to prevent overloading Rockford with Evo City calls, and vice-versa

^^ It would be annoying to see everyone using the radio at once for problems specific to their region; not like the police from Evocity can do anything to immediately help Rockford, and vice versa. Same for global OOC.
