Explain your suggestion, in detail:
Remove CSGO from CityRP

Explain why the suggestion should be implemented:
While I understand the want for CSGO props to be kept in CityRP, downloading GBs of content for a prop pack is insane to me. The process itself of downloading CS2 to the downgrade to the Legacy BETA, download the Legacy beta. It's an overly complicated process to just mount CSGO and the size of the content is quite extensive.

If new players see errors everywhere, Some might leave. Some might ask where to go. Going, "Do you have our content? Do you have HL2? Do you have CSS? Do you have CSGO?" might just push them away. Garry's Mod is well known for HL2 and CSS content, and a lot of players who do play generally have these mounted already. Also HL2 and CSS are much smaller downloads than CSGO's legacy branch.

I'm personally very in-between with this suggestion. You bring up some pretty fair concerns and I can see it negatively affecting new players (i mean i spent 3 hours today just trying to fix a basic model bug I was having client side with CW & CSS weapons on the server) having errors with a slightly less obvious fix of changing cs2 to legacy could cause alot of issues and also be a massive ache for new players that are wanting to just be able to hop in and play rather than go out their way to get extra content ect.

On the other hand I will say as someone who spent alot of time building back before LL went down, there are quite a few members in the community with some absolutely stunning dupes that heavily rely on the cs legacy content, the CS legacy content like you said has GB's of content with so much stuff for decorating and building giving players so many more options for props. I see it as kind of a double edged sword It would be making the server much less daunting for new players but at the same time could limit those players that are more build orientated wanting more variety and options with their props.

But for the sakes of improving the server and hopefully growing the community more, especially making it more inviting to new players id agree its probably for the best to remove the csgo content.

I can see your point but at the same time the CSGO props provide quite a few high quality props that are really redundant. There is a bunch of stuff in there that would be hard to replace in an efficient and good looking manner. Especially when it comes to doors, windows, foliage or commercial/Industrial equipment, the CSGO props are a really grate choice.

Id rather have em optional (as its the case right now) than for them to be removed. This way everyone can choose for himself. Whilst i have a few CSGO favorites (like the venice shoestore doors and windows) that i wouldnt know any good replacement for, i already use the content sparingly, as i dont want people to walk into an error orgy if they visit ym buildings.

Whilst i do get the concern id say the occasional error is worth the overall improvement to building quality and choice. As most dupes dont contain to many csgo props if any (but those that they do include often serve cruicial functions).

I think we should temporarely remove them, until we can get them in an addon and added back on a server pack.

Yes CSGO content must go since we need to trim down on props and our cache.

CSGO is 26GB of size and mounted with all other source-content we are at 47 GB + 12 GB of models that is close to 60 GB. It is a no-brainer that CSGO will be removed to make room for model cache stability and improve players join experience.

Currently in the process of downloading CS Legacy while my internet is slowing down from every other student in the building catching up on holiday updates, this is hell

+Support (but I accidentally voted No on the poll)

In my opinion, creating a more stable and beginner friendly experience is more important than having some extra props for builds

As Burnett mentioned CSGO content takes up 26GB, It is also the most painpoint of New players obtaining the correct content for our server which isnt too intuitive to obtain.

CSGO and HL2DM content were unmounted/removed from the server.

We will keep monitoring if HL2DM content is needed - so far there is no indicator for that.
CSGO content will stay unmounted indefinitely.
