Explain your suggestion, in detail:
To get a new tax system where you are able to adjust the tax level on different items or roles like vehicles, government workers or buying items from the market. The total will be the % as we know it today.

Like f.example:

Sets tax to 20% for all owners of vehicles
5% tax on all market items
20% tax on income for citizens
7% tax for all government workers.

Explain why the suggestion should be implemented:
This will give the president more abilities to make the city run the way he or she wants. Maybe a conservative government who wants fewer taxes on income, but higher for items? Or Labour who wants high on vehicles, but less on items?

The option will be up for the president. This may bring more depth into the roleplay character which already exists. I believe this also will bring more joy and realism to the roleplay, which I believe is good as running a country is a lot of work.

While this doesn't have to be complex, if you want to RP reasons for taxation then you can do that. This seems like a system that would take time with little reward. Most people who play president already do different things to boost their presidential RP. Can see the benefits of this system. But again, too much for too little reward.

Agreed,

I would like the presidential roleplay to be improved slightly maybe PD & FD are both paid for out of taxes and the president can increase or decrease salaries.

I must add that having a good tax system is one of the most important tools to bring the city into the way you want it. I believe many people actually forget what an amazing tool it can become.

As a youth politician, leader of my local youth labour party and upcoming board member of the county youth labour party; I must say that this can really enchant roleplay. I hope to find people to take into consideration. I do believe it's a relevant use of time and to give the president role more abilities to control the city.

+support if president RP is changed, tbf anyone can join president role and send tax to 20 on everything and just earn loads of cash easily, and it doesn't matter if the city hates him because you can't raid over stupidly high taxes.
I want to see some sort of voting system or some way to earn President instead of everything just having access to it, this would create more RP to the President.

Greetings!

I see your point. However the presidential job hasn’t received much update. This can be a part of a bigger overhaul update for the government. As I said in my previous reply. We politicians do need a good tax system to run a country. Same does one in game. I believe my president roleplay is a bit more different than Andromeda is used to. (After overmatching his roleplays)

This can improve the roleplay by giving more abilities. And of course; the role hasn’t received any updates in recent times. I believe it’s time to upgrade it, and that to redo the system can be a part of a large update.

What do you think about that?
