At least 27 people have died after a gunman opened fire at a church in Texas during Sunday services, police say.

The attack happened at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs in Wilson County.

Police official Albert Gamez Jr confirmed the number of fatalities to CBS News.

The gunman, who is reported to have been killed in the aftermath, entered the church and opened fire at around 11:30 local time (17:30 GMT).

Horrible to see this has happened. So many lives lost in one go, by someone that is assumed to have a military background, too. My thoughts go out to the injured and the families and friends of those who didn't survive the massacre.

How is that disrespectful? God obviously wasn't there for them so I think that it was relevant. Also it wasn't a disrespect towards another user as it was not aimed at Nudel or any other user. Why even bother posting shit like this if everyone's input isn't valued?

It was disrespectful to any Religious persons on the server, such as myself (Atheist), so yes it was kinda targeted. And who are you to judge whether God is there or not? Were you there? Did the big man come and high five you while you were bleeding out?
