Again. Semantics. We have different views for the potential of the area(s) for RP. If you cannot see the potential of EvoCity then that's on you and not me.

Furthermore, I ask you to stay on track and actually argue against my point that EvoCity has just as much RP potential as Rockford as a whole. Arguing about trees is such a small part that it's irrelevant. If you cannot do that then I see no need to continue this discussion.
You added it on your table so clearly it is relevant.

There you are. A map with not just one, not just two, but five places where you could consider it a woodland area. If you still disagree then there is no pleasing you and I would like to move onto another topic of discussion.

Let's not. That's the problem here, we move on to different topics too quickly without having a debate about it. So let's continue.

Why is grassy fields considered a forest/woods as that is what the current topic is.

i swear night made it very clear no change was gonna happen

There's nothing wrong with a discussion.

General building area which may be turned into just about anything you want. Not hard to slap a few trees down right here and call it a forest.

As much as I stand by my words, my opinion alone in this matter doesn't mean that no change whatsoever will happen but I am very much against it.

As it stands it is not a forest, it is a "General building area".

Just discussing the map, not expecting an immediate change anytime soon.

I have grown tired of this discussion about whether or not V4B1 has a forest or not. This is both no longer productive nor interesting to me. Unless you have any other points to bring up, I will be leaving this discussion now. I have made my points and discussing semantics such as this is simply obnoxious and not worth my time.
In case you have nothing else of major importance to say: thank you for this discussion. Even though we may not have been able to agree in the end, I hope you are at least able to see and understand my perspective as I do your's. Even though I do not agree with your opinions on the map in the slightest, I respect your right to have it.

(Jan 27, 2020, 07:45 PM)Theo Wrote: [ -> ]Instead of changing the map we should be looking to add new content to the one we already have. You don't see other games like GTA changing their map to keep things feeling fresh and new to their players because they understand that the map is just the base.

Instead of changing the map, we should look to build it up more and more, adding depth to the gamemode. This is what will improve the game, keep players interested, and bring in new ones.

Suggestion: Ban discussions/suggestions for map changes because they are cancer and counter-productive.

what content do you have in mind, for adding to the gamemode?, post a suggestion with some links. as im sure the members of the community would love to see your ideas of new content for the game.
  • Farming/gardening (ties into cooking and crafting),
  • Road repair minigame (minigame only accessible to firemen and those issued a government worker pass?),
  • Mining/crafting,
  • In-depth cooking system where you actually use a stove to cook dozens of different dishes (think of Breath of the Wild cooking),
  • Appliance repair minigame (e.g. fix your stove),
  • In-depth pharmaceutical crafting system that allows the user to create more advanced drugs (example being a health kit that restores both stamina and HP [Could probably remodel the meth system for this and drug requirements to make the most advanced drugs change regularly to keep the system from being repetitive]),
  • Complete economy wipe and full rework of market system to combat inflation (makes working for money a worthwhile task and experience again),
  • Nerf the profit of all illegal ways to make money to make other methods of money-making viable (fishing, woodcutting, vendor jobs, etc. are all useless right now compared to weed),
  • Make woodcutting more fun by turning it into a little minigame/skill that allows you to get more profit by working hard (or keep the same and make it viable by nerfing weed, meth, and contra to the ground),
  • Trucking job for civs which serves as a little minigame,
These are just the ones I could think of off the top of my head. So how about we look to implement some of these ideas (or any others in our long list of suggestions) and build up our gamemode rather than wasting dev time by changing the map.

The only issue with this is, these sort of game mechanics would push LL towards SeriousRP which is, unfortunately, not what the community wants.

Minigames? lmao

Think of the hacking from GTA Heists, same principle

That is were I disagree. The map has everything to do with the roleplay, Truenorth had the USFS RP's, Skiing RP's, Hand-gliding RP's, Natural disaster RP's and a lot more. Rockford has had plane crash RP's, Drownings, People stuck in the ravine RP's, Hospital & Hospital fire RP's. I have yet to see anything like this on Evocity that will actually get people to RP together.

Better Map= Better Roleplay.

Except is doesn’t work that like, the reason people didn’t like Rockford is because it has no centralised location for PassiveRP. Yeah you had the rows of shops by the gas station, but no one ever went up there. There was literally one storefront in the “city centre” and no space for people to build their own. Rockford is not designed for RP

More of a Q if anything
rather have a bigger circle then a small circle

Size doesn’t matter, it’s what you do with it that counts.

*insert penis joke here*
