Just comes down to the fact that gmod is very limited in what you can do with maps. And while some servers get around some issues by adding props to larger more empty maps, our gamemode just isnt optimized for it. 

With me personally the size and playercount is what matters. You need to have plenty of oppertunity to interact with other players. Ideally through RP. Unlike serious servers on LL you need more people in one area to drive rp since we dont have the best ruleset or systems to encourage it on a smaller scale. Evocity works because of the dense innercity that drives passive rp, but the map lacks the space for other things.

I dont think it's a map issue necessarly, or atleast it can be negated. I think a lot of people just want the liveliness and rp back that the server used to have. Sitting in a room contra farming isnt fun. Running a criminal syndicate, intetacting with other criminals, bribing cops and doing mob hits is. Server needs to drive rp and add more mechanics,rules amd systems to force people out of their contrabase hiding ways. By encouraging charachter development, RP, and additional interactive ways of making money. Ideally ways that involve player interaction.

Well maybe we shouldn't have "super moneymakers" like weed, where you can sit in an inconspicuous room for hours on end with no windows, which gives the police zero reason to raid, and if done properly neither can criminals. We've taken all of the risk out of criminal activity, there's no excitement in sitting in a room all day but it works. The new weed is as bad as the old contraband, but at least with the old contraband there was the chance of a raid, and that led to some scuffles and activities in bases.

Legal, effective moneymakers are what we need. Fishing used to be good, then the update came out and now the market is flooded because what can you do with fish other than eat it every so often? If we continue this pattern of partially releasing an aspect of MESKA, the server will be flooded with every single resource before we can even get a chance to craft.

Increase the reward for getting a REP too, 30k covers maybe 2 RPs? It's nice we get money but it isn't really enough to make it so that good RPers don't have to do much weed.
