Simply renting a property can result in you lossing 10-20k after a few hours of roleplay while you make nothing in return.
Let's be real for a sec, an Evocity comeback would be sufficient resuscitation to start with.

Nobody has ever fucking heard of Truenorth.

Let's continue being real, we need all man the fuck up and actually play the fucking server. It's the end times because everybody refuses to play because muh low player count and muh everyone's play. The other night we proved that the server can still get a decent population, as when we all went online for our gubernatorial debate, people saw players online and more people came online, resulting in this week's high population.

In short; get a fucking grip and play the server if you don't want it to die.

edit:

I will not stop swearing, because I'm Scottish.

Passive is only possible over the course of hours, especially if it’s a non-vital service like a coffee shop run by citizen job. This means if you’re renting a location you’re dropping upwards of 10k on rent.

I prefer to stick to not charging people actual money, and instead make it RP only, especially if I’m not selling food, guns etc. This means I need to go on a weed farming spree to pay that back if I don’t wanna go bankrupt.

Useful clothing which you might not own unless you’ve done that RP before means you’re dropping another 5-35k on a suitable item of clothing. That’s another hour of weed.

PassiveRP is a massive drain on time, money and inventory space. We need to make it either cheaper to rent a shop, or add the ability to gain some more monetary gain through MESKA specialisations that mean you take a path and stick to it rather than everyone becoming a jack of all trades.

That elaborate enough for you?

Just resetting currency etc will be good enough. 15k for a Trabant? Reset everyone's currency and make the prices of items more realistic.

No thanks, not putting in nearly 3000 hours into getting back to where I am currently.

yes make everyone contrafarm even more and drive existing and committed players away. that's nearly as incoherent as Labour's manifesto.

Anyway, Temar liked my post on evo map change so that means #EvoConfirmed.

Only economy issue in my eyes is the lack of things to buy, for example we have all the suits and robbers models yet only like 6 are buyable. Make the fancy ones buyable at a premium price for one and the rest at a reasonible price. I don't see resetting the economy as a solution as Stell said, people have invested 100s if not 1000s of hours already. There should additionally be ways to lose more money, ATM system, government fining system, etc.

Yes, thanks Monty. I had forgot about the rent stuff.
Generic “We know this is going tits up and we say we’re going to do something but In reality we are just going to sit here twiddling our thumbs“ thread #8

I understand the statement, thinking this is an empty thread, but no.

As I stated in the thread, we are working on it, and working with your feedback, so please instead of stating that this is another empty thread, give feedback if you care about the server instead of complaining about how this thread could be "empty".

Complaining is easy, providing valuable feedback is hard, some people in this thread brought forth great feedback.

I'm reading this thread every day, every time there is a post. Multiple staff have posted bringing their opinions with them as well. Again, I'm sorry but those who only complain are the ones "sitting and twiddling" their thumbs.

Aggressive RP rules are being enforced too heavily. We can have an experience similar to LL without such heavy handedness of the enforcement of the rules affecting RP easily, so why wouldn't we do that? Too many grey areas make aggressive RP stressful, not knowing if something that was allowed one day, will be disallowed by a different member of staff.
